Unless he can play a female character more convincingly than any actress who were to audition for the part, he'd be a poor choice to play Shepard.

Which I think illustrates why making a movie about Shepard doesn't work. Whoever they pick, whichever background, sex, LI, etc is picked, a shitload of fans are going to be alienated. A movie set in that era with an entirely different cast of characters might be okay.

I agree with you. Everyone's Shepard is unique to them giving the amount of freedom we have to customize and shape our character and world.
Also, after watching Robocop and Suicide Squad I'm really not a big fan of Kinnaman.

I disagree, I think default male Shepard is the right one to use. He's the more visible face of the character, the stats reveal he's the most played, he makes the most sense for an adaption to live action.
Not that I agree with the actor choice, but I believe male Shepard works best.

I really like Kinnaman, but there's plenty of actors who could play Shepard.
Especially because Shepard is kind of a blank state on his/her own and it's up to you, the player, to decide what their personality is.

Not that I agree with the actor choice, but I believe male Shepard works best. In theory, I also want BroShep. But since he'll never romance Kaidan in a movie, I wouldn't even bother watching it. He'd just end up with Ash, Liara or - most likely - Miranda in a catsuit. |
