I'd've been proud to but I lost last February when I became the second person in my fam to get it. Playing AC games improved my Watchdogs skills immensely. I hadn't touched an AC game when I last played Watchdogs. Riding horses in RDR2 has also helped my driving skills. Seems odd but it's true. *drinks* Just ignore the exploding cars, it wasn't me. That's weird. Shooting all the things in WD2 and - particularly - RDR2 has not helped me AT ALL with ME1LE. Ava Shepard may have been the Sole Survivor because she couldn't hit water on a boat and was left behind to look after the bags on Acuze.

I don't know what you are doing but it's definitely wrong if you can't get anyone beyond 25m. A sniper is going to take extra shots when farther away and you won't notice you're doing any damage because the enemy won't have a health bar above them, they are too far away for the radar to show it. Lower tier snipers aren't going to do much (obvs) but aim for the head. Headshots register now.

Actually, snipers are very useful for vanguard. I regularly run one on my vanguards in ME1. Makes you deadly at short and long range, no one sees it coming. They work even better for ME2 (viper) and ME3 (indra, raptor, valiant) if someone wants to spec that way. Sniper rifles are no longer drunk for classes that don't have that skill. The reticule used to go in huge circles when you'd aim unless you dumped points in snipers. Sniper training is only good for extra damage and the assassination ability.

I'm out of touch with the first one - only play when I have to. I only play adept in ME1 and just go pistol. ME3 I just use the Saber and boooork booork booork for days. I'm cursing that I haven't unlocked NG yet so I haven't got it yet

I made some progress with it last night. Problem was between chair and keyboard. Basically - I hadn’t properly positioned the reticle. Once I corrected that, headshots galore. Left the Citadel to find Liara, wound up on some barren moon with a distress signal and spent the next 20 minutes getting owned by a Thresher Maw. Gave up and went on to the mining site, where the Mako was immensely helpful in lolstomping geth. After briefly being held up by the weird spider frog geth fight (and figuring out that I hadn’t been able to use biotics because I had to bind them to keys), headed down the mine shaft.

If you want to make the thresher maw fight a bit easier, either go right to the end of the combat zone where it triggers it to pop up, or, with a bit of practice, keep stationary and shoot at it using the cannon and gun, and boost forwards when it throws itself back to spit all over you. |
