I had a weird dream last night. One character looked like Patrick Stewart and another looked like Brent Spinner, but he has the makeup he wears when playing Data. Patrick complained about his workers, then Brent, who is typing, suggests that he replaces his workers with slaves. Then he can keep all the money. Brent casually goes back to typing. When I was recalling the dream, I laughed at the last part.

My foot has been buzzing, this is the second day. Its like it buzzes for a second, stops, then buzzes again... it feels like someone is pressing a vibrator against my foot and thats the best way I can describe it, its only in my left foot and theres no pain, and it isnt especially strong, so idk what it is, but it started yesterday and now its doing it today too. When im moving I cant feel it, but when im stood or sat still I definitely can. Weird

I found a recipe for tomato pie I want to try next week. I'm gonna serve it with a side of sauteed kale. I just have to figure out what kind of wine to pair it with.

So...Disney is really going all out with that Lion King remake...the original animated classic is a fond part of my childhood, so I trust that thw remake will be awesome, especially if that rumor of Beyonce as Nala is true.

He was never the best fighter but he always came to fight and was never boring. I'm sad he's hanging up the gloves but he's got his money, his health and his family so even if he loses this fight, he's already won in life. Enjoy retirement Miguel Cotto, you've earned it.

Two soldiers go to war, both profoundly effected, scarred etc. They learn there lesson's and draw there conclusions from there experiences during the war, their war experiences are a major influence in their literature, one writes the Hobbit and The Lord Of the Rings trilogy and the other writes Mein Kampf. The same crucible two diometric conclusions or outcomes, one benign one absolute evil.

Guess that's the difference between returning home to a still well functioning economy and returning home to an economically bled dry, fractured country stricken by anarchy and poverty so bad people froze and starved because they had nothing to heat their homes with nor a single loaf of bread for days. Poverty breeds only violence.

Would it matter if all of us were actually living in a simulation ? Would it make things like morality or law any less important ? Should society be abandoned entirely if we discovered everything was somehow rendered by means of an impossibly complex quantum computer ?

We may never save ourselves.
Humanity might end up dissapearing and destroying itself over petty power struggles, or perhaps our dignity and personal worth might be stripped after our labor rights are finished being taken away. Welcome to neofeudalism.
Hopefully, the emphasis might actually be on the "may" part.

Our existences and the universe, time and space, are all one pattern. It does not matter if this pattern is held by the logic of a simulation or manifested in an implicit fabric below and behind what we think is reality. In fact it's the same thing.

With physiology and behavior that have evolved over a billion years or so. Life for all animals is a challenge and competition. And it will never be anything else. Seek bliss from the moments and things of joy. That's all you can do.

Can it be possible to even guarantee such a thing ?

Seek bliss from the moments and things of joy. That's all you can do. From... dissapearing and destroying itself ? As I said earlier ? I'm speaking more about us as a society and as a species. I don't doubt that life, in its many presentations, may push forward and overcome its evolutionary hurdles, it's the thought that we may actually end up destroying ourselves as a species. Sometimes that scenario seems very real to me.

Can it be possible to even guarantee such a thing ? It is maybe a layered fabric, with no end (simulation in simulation). There are things from math, like Fractals, Chaos theory and Goedels theorem, that sort of hints in that direction. Of course that doesn't make it so. Math is not reality. The cool thing if it was a simulation, would be to continue in a different simulation, after our death. But if that simulation was hell, maybe it wouldn't be so cool.

The cool thing if it was a simulation, would be to continue in a different simulation, after our death. But if that simulation was hell, maybe it wouldn't be so cool. Ah that would be fantastic... not hell of course, but another simulation indeed. Then again it depends on the function of the simulation: if "Roberta" created a simulation to experience the Trump government in the USA and then shuts it down once she finished it then where does that leave the rest of us ? I don't think somebody would move us to another simulation, unless the government somehow had humane legislation on that issue.
