If you like/dislike Guardians of the Galaxy, I have a minor spoiler for you.
There is a scene that has, what I would describe, as a neon Cabal. Also a neon sexbot. Used as signage for a nightclub. Changed enough to perhaps avoid legal concerns, but damned if all of you won't see what I saw.
I will have photos for you eventually, but we wrapped shooting a month ago and for NDA reasons I can't share photos until after the movie is released. Regardless, yeah.... Mass Effect.

Marvel ripping off Mass Effect is definitely real. Agents of Shield totally ripped off some Alliance base concept art. If you closely, you can see that Marvel even forgot to remove the shadow of the Normandy hovering overhead. Epic fail. And gravitonium is flat out element zero. Really unstable element zero, but element zero. Yes, gravitonium was a thing from the comics, but it didn't work like element zero. The version in Agents of Shield works exactly like eezo. I was super disappointed in Age of Ultron since, knowing they were Mass Effect fans, I was hoping for a Reaper-esque feel to Ultron. Instead we got far and away the least threatening "evil AI" villain I have ever seen. |

The dodo is gone because humans are bastards, and a lot of people miss them. Along with the countless other species we've driven to extinction with our assholery. Dodos evolved in an ecosystem that lacked predators, so they didn't have a fear response. Even whales, as intelligent as they are, are screwed with lack of a fear response. The blue whale is constantly colliding with ships and being injured or killed even though they could get out of the way. Because they haven't had predators for millions of years so nature never told them how to deal with danger If a predator naturally evolved there, it would be gradually over time and the dodo would've had time to evolve along side them with a proper response. Instead, humans came and started butchering them en masse and releasing other predators. They had no time to evolve a response to their new situation because humans murdered them into oblivion in the evolutionary blink of an eye. But wait, it gets better! Do you know why people didn't slow their obliteration of the species or even just keep some for domestic breeding? Because, get this, people didn't think it was possible for an animal to go extinct! No, seriously. They thought God would just twinkle his nose like Samantha Stevens and make a bunch more. For years after the dodo's extinction, it was considered sacrilege to acknowledge it because it meant you thought God wasn't doing his job. Oh, but yeah, the BIRDS are the stupid ones. THE BIRDS are the fucking retards! The dodo are extinct because they made the terrible mistake of thinking we might actually be nice to them, and now they get insult on top of injury because people who know nothing at all about the situation (or about bird intelligence which is generally extremely high) malign them as "stupid" for it. |
