***Your Last Solo in One Word***

I don’t know the map jargon well. It was on the ramp that has a platform in the middle before turning, on the extraction side of the map (but on the other end). A device or a retrieval often spawns there. It was the spot you held in Wave 1 if you’d Juggy solo on Derelict...

Yeah, RNGs work out such that about one game in five on Plat will have no Hacks or Uploads. But I don’t take five shots per week, so it’ll be a while. But I feel like I can do it, at least with my AA. Can’t really imagine it with anyone else. I could try to build my Juggy around my Piranha, but I’d prefer to just crack a Siphon PAW soon for him, haha.

I think that spot is less ideal than the normal cave spot because of the larger opening to the area where you're camping. Certainly more space for the team to move around, and more options to flee when it gets too hot.

I tried it but observers get behind you. On the spot screenshot is, nothing can get behind you, only the side is open. Only bad thing compared to the "cave" on the right side from LZ is maybe there isnt so good "getaway" place.. but this one is only for soloing. Wraiths or Adhis cannot touch you like in the "cave".

Yeah, tell me about it. We started it with another high level APEX guy, me Huntress, he Exemplar.. oh my god we got at least 8 Adhis in the south-east corner room with breakable window :rage: and that was 1st wave, no other way after we both got downed, just to jump out of the window and kite a bit. Then we got joined 2 others in a couple of minutes before wave 1 had ended... also it seems this mission was full of destroyer types.

27/125 plat games should have no upload or hack, about 1 in 5. So I think you should get 16 in a row with one or the other followed by a clear about 1.7 times out of 100. Does that sound right?

I think I did the math right. I’m not sure how many times you try 17 Platinum solos in one night, but you should get a string like that about once every couple of months if you play 17 a night, LOL.

Igloo.

Found another unmoving camping spot for the Human Juggernaut on Firebase Icebreaker. Tried another one on Firebase Vertigo, but got Upload on Wave 6. I don’t think there’s an unmoving spot to be found on Firebase Nimbus. There’s a hidden area on Derelict (above the glass wall), but I have yet to consistently get up there.

Ledge.

As in the “Ledge of Confusion” on Firebase Vertigo. Watch as hordes of enemies get confused by my Juggernaut’s position on one of two ledges. Force the bosses (Ascendant, Behemoth, and Blaze Hydra) and mini-bosses (Berserkers) to be on the other side of the wall and all you will have to handle are the mooks during a wave.

Now while the ledge offers cover, you are still slightly exposed, and Anointed, Observers, Saboteurs, and Destined can still target you. Take both close and a long-range weapons to handle them. You can also see how the spawns work. For instance, watch me take out an Observer and see another one rise up from the clouds in the distance by the LZ.

Faster Scrapper.

Wanted to do a faster Batarian Scrapper Platinum Solo run than my first successful attempt early in my soloing career. This time, I brought the N7 Crusader, P.A.W. Siphon, and Vulnerability VI. I wanted to feature the Crusader more in this solo, but I had to resort to the reliable P.A.W. several times when things got a little hairy.

Objectives were Retrieval / Devices / Retrieval.

Very sloppy Wave 5, where I tried to speed up by focusing on taking down multiple Blaze Hydras and Behemoths. Still, I extracted in 36:25, which is a decent time for me!

Tiring.

After 4 failed attempts. Finally, 1 hour 29 minutes to completion.

Human Kineticist XX (reset skills so only using 2 points, 1 in Ascension and 1 in Barrier, aka a virtual Kineticist I Level 1)
No Equipment, No Boosters
Predator X (No Mods or Variant), Viper X (No Mods or Variant) - Basically a newbie who just got their (UR) Kineticist and not a lot more yet in game.
10% Health, 7% Recharge, 3% Health Restoration Reduction Time, 5% Health Cap recovery, 6% Shields

Solo, Gold, Sandstorm, Kett: Recovery, Recovery objectives
3 First Aid Kits used (2 from funny collision that loses you shields and Ascension and near death)

Video of this (what the heck are you thinking?!) challenge run (and others, when I get them done) will be up later once I get it uploaded (fairly large file at 26gb and don't know how long Youtube will take to process it either).

Anyway, I hope this video can help highlight to new players joining MEAMP that even if knowledge and experience of maps and enemies, quite often the amazing survivability is helped by gear too, even on Gold difficulty (much less Platinum). And if you've come in brand new, you certainly won't have it yet. No problems running Gold difficulty runs (I do and often) whilst you gather experience and gear (weapons, kits, levels and equipment).
