This channel does a series of Cliff Notes vids about game timelines. They just published one about Mass Effect, ME1 thru ME3. Not ROFL, but good for a few lulz.
Inquisitor: Is that innuendo? Sera: No, it's at the front!
You know what I found really funny? How quickly Mass Effect 2's plot is gone over.
I know, right? But it's no exaggeration. If you think about what a historian would record about the events of ME2, it's just Collectors Identified - Collectors Defeated. And the rise of Cerberus. What else happened?

Only other canonical thing of note is the Arrival DLC.

Excellent point. For some reason, I keep thinking that happened in the ME1 timeframe. It's hard to love the batarians, but man, did they get screwed over or what?

Those Batarians in particular didn't deserve to die, that's why it's a tragic sacrifice.

lol yeah, it s really a simple plot. But might still be my favourite of the three !
Liked the vid, very good, nice it spends half its duration on pre ME1 events. It seems it lacks the "why reaper eradicate organics cyclically " ? or is it just too fast for me ?

You didn't miss it, it's just not there. These 3 minute vids are never very good at connecting all the dots -- how could they, in 3 minutes?
Maybe, someone who hasn't played the ME trilogy could read between the lines and figure out that it has something to do with the Catalyst. Although that begs the question of why the Catalyst "betrayed" Leviathan in the first place, blah blah.

Yeah well, they spend 1'30'' on reaper creation and cycle, they could have spent 5 more seconds to tell it s to prevent the destruction of organics by AI. Maybe hiding the leviathans part even if needed. But still the vid is really good as is.
