Armor tinting in Andromeda: No helmet?

I've customized the colors on my armor, but it only affected the chest and limbs. The helmet looks completely different from the rest of the set.

As far as I know, you cannot change the face plate color (although you should be able to change the colors on other parts of the helmet).
