I saw, at some point in time, somewhere, it stated that missions were going to be a bit more complex in the new MP as opposed to ME3 with some of our simple objectives such as pizza delivery, hacking etc.
What would be some good scenarios that walk that fine line between a bit more to each mission without losing the charm and success of the current ME3mp?

I don't know how many people read the Reddit leak but I just copied and pasted it here: Deployed Strike Team Missions:
The Helius Cluster is 1000s of light years across, and you can’t be everywhere at once. As you develop more colonies, resource bases and settlements, you have to be able to keep them safe. Spend resources to recruit mercenaries and develop an AI controlled Strike Team that you can deploy to take on randomly generated, time-sensitive missions. Strike Team missions take many forms, including settlement defense and Remnant artifact recovery, which will take real-time to complete. Send your Strike Team out on a mission while you continue playing the main game and they will return, 20 – 30 minutes later, having gained rewards such as XP, currency and equipment based on the success of their mission. Spend money and resources to train your Strike Team and acquire better gear for them, which will increase their success rate and allow them to take on more difficult missions for greater rewards.
Active Strike Team Missions:
When you encounter a Strike Team mission in the Single-Player mode, you can leave your Strike Team at their base and decide to tackle the mission yourself with your Multiplayer roster of characters. You also have the option of tackling the mission by yourself, or recruiting up to three friends to play with you. The more friends you bring, the greater the challenge and the greater the reward. These missions will play out using the Next Mass Effect’s multiplayer Horde mode (more details on this later). These missions will include a variety of thematically appropriate objectives, like defending a Settlement against Khet attacks, or recovering a Remnant artifact off of a planet before an outlaw gang gets there first. By taking an active role in strike team missions, you can earn special Single-player rewards in addition to the usual multiplayer specific characters, weapons, weapon mods, and pieces of equipment which can be customized between missions. Additionally, players who join another person’s Strike Team mission will receive bonus in-game currency and multiplayer XP for helping others with their missions.
Multiplayer “Horde” Mode:
The next Mass Effect’s “Horde” multiplayer pits you and up to three of your friends against waves of enemy troops on various battlefields throughout the galaxy. Players fight together to survive increasingly difficult enemy attacks and accomplish objectives, like disabling a bomb near a colony base or assassinating a target. Progress through multiplayer missions to gain XP and earn new multiplayer specific weapons, characters, weapon mods, and pieces of equipment, which can be customized between matches. Multiplayer play will also earn you APEX funds (in-game currency), which can be used to purchase items and gear in the Single Player game.

Everything, and a lot of it.
Something where you are required or capable of passing the objective from one player to another and are rewarded for setting up an effcient relay would be interesting.

Seriously don't make it something that the team has to do. I'm serious if you make this game totally team centric especially objectives it will make it impossible for try hards like myself to drag pugs to the finish line. A lot of ideas seem awesome in theory but are impossible to implement without frustrating the playerbase. Just my humble opinion though.

Yes, wider variety on objectives would be welcome but having to rely on PUGs in a 'team based' scenario would be a continuous quick match disaster. Especially if we are blessed with Reactor V2...

I kind of disagree with this, i prefer cooperation and in many games teams work well together, too many people in ME3Mp played solo under the guise of playing mp. Also well known team mates and friend were far more dangerous for things like the reactor.

I got an idea or two that could be fun but most certainly won't happen:
1)Objective: Hostage rescue
The purpose of the objective is to rescue civilians and escort them to the shuttle. There should be special ''rooms'' or places in the map accessible only when doing a complimentary objective, so in that very place couple of enemies spawn (not bosses just mooks) and 3-5 civilians, the point is to take out the enemies before they notice you, and unchain the civilians (like a quick action with omnitool by use of action button) once free they will follow the player that interacts with them and simply get to the designated shuttle zone. Civilians will duck and take cover as much as possible.
When you try to kill the enemies that are in the room with hostages they will try to shoot them, depending on difficulty the civilians will have different HP, once they die they are gone. minimum of 1 civilian is needed to complete the objective, more you rescue the bigger the bonuses. No time limit since this would be a difficult objective. Enemies still also spawn on normal spawn zones.
2)Objective: Abduction
The purpose of this objective is to knock out or incapacitate specific enemies and carry them to the shuttle. To take down an enemy you would need to take its HP as low as possible and then use action button to knock them out or put them in handcuffs, lower the HP the higher the chance of one of these occurring. In the case of knock out a player would need to carry that enemy, therefore not able to use certain powers and weapons (there would be different carrying methods so dragging by feet on the ground or giving them a piggy back) In the incapacitate case enemy could be able run away (so you would need to use an action button to get them back) there would be 3 possible abductions in 5 min and 1 would be required to complete the objective, the others would give you extra bonus.
Enemies would spawn normally and not attack their alloy that is being abducted, but they can free him. There would be 2 different action buttons needed one for knock out and other for handcuffing.
So yeah possibly fun concepts that can be build on, this is a rough idea. But problem is those would be team based, so maybe would only occur when there are more than 2 people playing the game to make this fair.

Reactor = Frying your friends for a laugh has always been part and parcel to the MP on this map but I guess everyone has different views when it comes to this. Don't get me wrong, I've never fried a PUG who has tried his/her best, no matter their experience or level. But.... I have torched a few leeches in my day. Back to my point though. If objectives are solely dependent on team-based cooperation/survival, the consequence is that at least two players must survive to complete the wave. If the other players are not capable of playing at a certain level or are just having a shit game, I can see many matches ending unnecessarily because a competent player could not solo the objective and rescue the game.

An extraordinary enemy appears with endless reinforcements and we need to destroy it in time. At least that's what I think how a Colossus could have shown up in ME3MP.
