I think I don't really know what I am really trying to ask, but i'll try anyway. First obviously i'm not talking about composers, it's more about "style" I guess. for example DAO and DA2 had a very similar cartoonish, dark and high fantasy but mature style, it's honestly a bit difficult for me to describe, as it is very special and complex mix to be honest. And DAI style is straight up high fantasy, it's very easy to identify. For me I think I would like a mix of, roman with classical tone and rhythm while also having a depraved, twisted and chaos feel in them, and obviously as a fantasy game, a touch of fantasy to complete the cake. some examples. (obviously they don't feet Dragon Age, but to show a bit of what kind of thing I would like to see)
this last one is just for the creepiness
the question or questions are, you would like to see a complete new style? or you prefer they follow Inquisition trend? or maybe you would like they go back to the style set by the first two games? What are your thoughts?

While I love the music of DAI, I still think the vocal themes of DAO / DA2 such as both Main Themes, I am the One, In Uthenera, Elven Lullaby in Leliana's Song or Mage Pride were the essence of Dragon Age for many of us. Yes, even the awkward DAO Love Theme. In case more vocal pieces are needed:
Switching to a different musical style, especially when we didn't really to hear it during exploration (except in Mythal's temple), was not easy for me, which is why I struggled to connect the dots at first and to accept internally DAI is a DA game indeed. Yes, I'm very peculiar here, and musical consistence is a big deal for me. Now, listening to the soundtrack revealed in hindsight many masterworks in DAI for me, perhaps even more so than in DAO / DA2. I would love them to pick up Tevinter-y themes as we hear them during In Hushed Whispers or fighting Cory, and elven motives from Mythal's temple. Also, Solas' themes are a must, and I don't even doubt we'll hear them again confronting him. If we ever end up in Orlais again, please bring back the baroquey pieces. And as much as I love the country, I am not a huge fan of Fereldan music, which I assume is heavier (like the Samson tavern song, which plays when we explore the Hinterlands and the Storm Coast.) Hints of baroque influence for battle music:
I also think it's a good opportunity to take up the Mage Pride theme, as it seems to be in Tevene / Latin-ish and sounds to fit into what we know about Tevinter culture, similar to Fenris' theme. I would love to hear Roman and even more so Byzantian themes for Tevinter for the sake of exotics. Here are a few ideas in case we move to the North: Somewhat exotic athmospheric piece: This is in case we end up in Rivain:

I like epic music, I really enjoyed some part of the DAI music. I love heavy tribal like rythm, so I loved Guardian of the Past from DAI, and the Qunari on the Rise song from DA2, Siege of Adamant was also yummy. I also really really like the epilogue music from the Flemeth/Solas scene, and the Solas/Qunari theme from Trespasser were also really good.
So anything epic with a heavy sexy rythm tends to works for me.

I'm a big fan of using singing in soundtracks. It's why I love certain tracks in the earlier da games, not just the light elfy ones but also the low deep singing in the golem/orzammmer parts in dao, and why I was so fond of tw3 sound track.
So I hope they do more vocal work on the da4 music.

Inquisition style hands down (the soundtrack version, not the low frequency in the game). Atmospheric, epic at times, very moving, some of the best soundtrack in gaming. Special mention goes to Dark Solas Theme on how powerful it is. Inun Zur's stuff sound pretty generic to me outside DA:O main theme, Rogue Heart and other few vocal tracks.

Yeah, revisiting the old OST's, Zur can get some really good highs, but it's few and far between among many many humdrum lows. DA2 is much worse since it never really has much in the way of highs at all. Inquisition would definitely be my pick. I love the OST of the vanilla game and DLC's to bits, especially Dark Solas Theme.

I've never been a fan the first two soundtracks. The third, however, I adore. So more of Trevor Morris would be more than welcome to me.

Honestly, I wouldn't mind a drastic change in music direction for Dragon Age. While not intrusive or difficult to listen to, nothing (except for DAI main theme) is really memorable to me...well, I do remember it when it starts playing that "oh yeah, I heard this here before, but nothing makes me want to listen to it outside the game. It has no Sin'dorei, no Nightsong, no Suicide Mission, no Cloak and Dagger, Silver for Monsters, Steel for Humans.
Now, this is just what I feel and I don't actually have suggestions what to change. First 2 I posted are from WoW and those have either too warlike or too high fantasy pieces for DA's purposes, while the other 3 are very...Witcher specific. Like they fit the game perfectly. All I can do is to hope they manage to find a music theme that fits world of Dragon Age in my mind as these songs did for their universes and places. (well, they actually did, I quite like Inquisition's main theme, but that's just one song)

While I would like the kind of trend we seem to be taking with DAI and I've always enjoyed Trevor Morris' work, I would like a few more of the creepy pieces of DAO/DA2. I don't know if those exist in DAI and I just never heard them, but I still get goosebumps sometimes playing DA2 and that one little piece that sounds like something yelping in pain (it's like a jerk on a violin?) starts playing in caves or the Deep Roads. While not distinctive, DAO/DA2 had some good atmospheric music.
Oh course, those probably exist in DAI only we never got to hear them for longer than five seconds. Seriously, by my fourth playthrough I hated 'Samson' so much from hearing the first five seconds of it in the Hinterlands I would walk out if the minstrel started in on it. (then again, I am also one of those few who hates 'Enchanters')

I like Trevor Morris overall. But I do wish we could have some Elven, Tevene and other languages ballads again

Maybe its just me but I have found the Dragon Age soundtrack to be total lackluster, and it got progressively worse since Origins. Its really not bad but just extremely generic and unmemorable fantasy stuff. I easily remember most of the tracks from the famous RPG's like Baldur's Gate, Icewind Dale, but like only three from the entire Dragon Age series.
I'd really appreciate a more unique and original soundtrack with the next installment.
