I like how the Leliana slide at the end of Trespasser kinda left my Warden in a good place. I'd prefer they just never speak of that again so I can just assume the rest.

This is just idle speculation. The Warden finds a cure for The Calling, and settles down to a long, happy life with their beloved Morrigan, three charming children, a dog and two cats in a modest little cottage near the Orlesian border. The Warden takes up a life of quiet farming, and potters around the garden tending the vegetables and shrubbery to the end of his days - and he lives a long, blissful long life, blessed by the strength of their love for one another.
Morrigan abandons magic altogether and is content with her needlecraft and watercolour painting. Embracing the Chant, and finding true peace in the Maker and his Bride Andraste has worked a startling change upon Morrigan. She adopts an air or quiet, optimistic reflection, her old harshness is a thing of the past, and she's far more likely to greet visitors with a welcoming smile and an offer of tea. She lives to a ripe old age, and enjoys ruminating with her mother Flemeth during her frequent visits, always bringing small gifts and sweets.
The couple's first born abandons his silly old god pretensions and becomes a hedge mage, concocting love potions and health poultices for grateful Denerim residents. This makes him rich, and he uses the money to open the city's first hairdressing salon.
This is canon, all know this.
Any so-called alternative lore is pure nonsense.

The problem with skipping a few decades is running out of Dragon Age entirely. If they hit 99 Dragon we have to come up with a new age! (Do I thing they're going to make another 50 years' worth of DA games? One can only hope.) Also, ergates, don't be silly. Everyone knows the Warden is dwarf that takes Zevran home to help her rule Orzammar from behind the throne.

Also, ergates , don't be silly. Everyone knows the Warden is dwarf that takes Zevran home to help her rule Orzammar from behind the throne. Well Dwarves are rather short. I suppose that ruling from behind the throne would keep her nicely hidden. All anyone would ever see if they craned their necks would be the top of her head.

Every time I see people demanding Bioware make the Warden the protagonist again, I wonder what would happen if they used the same logic with other franchises:
"Iron Man was the very first Marvel Cinematic Universe protagonist, and they need to stop taking focus away from him! I don't care how many different facets to the Marvel Universe Cap/Thor/Spidey/Agent Coulson/Starlord/Jessica Jones explore, they're not Tony!"

There is some vague suggestion that the rapidity of her decline may in part have been due to her use of blood magic but I may be imagining that. My impression was a combination of Blood Magic and actually being in the Trenches. Garahel was never implied to be a bad fighter, but he was implied to be the Face of the Wardens, an absolute golden charmer that needed to be running around talking to Nobles about support for the war. I feel like he only took part in the Big Important Battles, and skipped out on the smaller skirmishes in between. Which says to me that Exposure and Duration to actual Blighted Creatures plays an effect. To go along with age (although i doubt that one now, as Loghain has been said to look his best in DAI, hardly the worse for wear just because he was older when tainted.)

Even though majority of my wardens are alive at end of DA:O i really dont care what BioWare does or doesn't do with them, my story with them has finished just like my story with hawke an probably the inquisitor are finished, is BioWare finished with them? no idea but i do know the ones asking for them back will be the first to complain if they aren't exactly the same as they left them.
It's nice to see them or hear them just mentioned in subsequent games an again i dont much care what Bio does with them, just aslong as they dont turn them into complete d*heads which can be done very very easily with a silent pc which the warden was, headcannoning voice an tone can be a powerful tool

He was introduced in 2008 and is still a focus of the films ten years later, as he is still very present in the franchise. It's not like there's a lot of 'tell, no show' with Tony, he shows up to this day in the movies and takes a very active role. The Warden is like if we had Iron Man in 2008, and then never saw him again, only hearing about him from other characters. By the same token, I suppose Bioware has also avoided the Iron Man-fatigue that some parts of the MCU fandom apparently experience with the Warden, so there's that.

Fair enough, but my take is that so many of The Warden worshipers want them back to the exclusion of any and all other possibilities. That the Warden's specific life experiences can cover any and all stations, philosophies and dilemmas as they adventure forever, nevermind the players who preferred them dead or happily retired. Or that none of the other protagonists (The Orleasian Warden, Hawke, the Inquisitor) or any other possible Origins (Magister, slave, Ambassadoria or Kal Sharok Dwarf, Ben Hassrath, Ancient Arlathan Elf, Avaar, Rivanni Seer, and so on...) deserve to have their story told.

Depends on your choices and save games. It would be impossibly to have the Warden have an integral part of any future game when s/he could have died killing the Archdemon. As far as the calling goes, if the Warden is alive s/he is searching for a way to end the calling in DAI. I'd like to think s/he finds a way.
