That's exactly right! It's been ages since I've discussed any of this... just reminds me how much I love the ME lore. For the most part, you just change one thing from reality (add element zero), and everything else falls into place. Being able to manipulate mass allows for so many possibilities... plenty of which the team hasn't even thought of yet Now, I doubt we'll find any eezo lying around, but we may yet find another way to manipulate mass on the fly. It would be one of the most revolutionary advancements humanity would ever make, that's for sure. The Mass Effect Lore is really very detailed in some cases, considering it's partially based on science (or theories) and can be very convincing, if we make enough effort to imagine the pivotal details that fill the gaps in discussed scientific hypothesis. Then it all starts to make sense. I was surprised with the video, mainly because I found a few posts on the old bsn, where people were bashing the idea of extended barrel as a damage booster, what actually would make sense in a weaponry, only as an accuracy enhancer. Yeah, especially ME1. I hope ME:A goes back towards the more "hard" scifi, but I doubt it. I think that time is past for ME Well people will argue about anything In this case, though, it's not a subjective opinion. An extended barrel for an ME weapon should actually not only increase acceleration > force > damage, but force > penetration as well as improving accuracy. But there is a lot of gameplay-lore segregation going on in any game for the sake of gameplay/balance, which is generally acceptable. On a sidenote: Shouldn't ME weapons have no recoil, because F=ma? If m=0 (the mass of the bullet exiting the chamber/ME field), regardless of a (acceleration of the bullet), F (force of recoil) will come out as 0. Another sidenote: Is your username what's in your avatar? Edit: Your avatar and username changed, of course That's exactly right! The low tier was High Caliber Barrel, and top tier being Scram Rail (whatever scram is supposed to be in that case... doubt it is safety control rod axe man or supersonic combustion ram). That's right, I had forgotten. Haha, well... when you scram, you're getting out of there fast, which is what the projectile is doing? That's what I thought, anyway.

If only it would remain with defense. But it does not, unfortunately. I get your point and for what it's worth I wish there was no need for firearms but the reality is that there are evil people out there. If guns were made illegal the only people that have them are those who care nothing about the law

And ME:A will hopefully come back to the roots. There is going to be a book premiere in March, from what I heard. So maybe we can get a little of an insight to the lore. Also, my username is lyq3r as for origin.
