Serious reply coming in...
I like guns that have a sci-fi sound, I think. It's a bit difficult to isolate the sound from how they feel. The combination of both determines how much I like a gun overall.
But here's a list in no particular order:
Scorpion, Saber, Phalanx, Mattock, Talon, Hornet, Piranha, Geth Plasma SMG, Geth Pulse Rifle, Arc Pistol, Acolyte.
I don't use sniper rifles and don't recall well how the different shotguns sound so I can't really say which ones I like... I used the Claymore ONCE on PC and because I don't reload cancel I find it awfully slow. *runs away quickly *

executioner is badass. Claymore, BPP, Lancer, Valiant are convincing representatives of each categories +++ And i love the crusader for many more reasons, its a category of its own to say a great sounding shotgun

The Claymore is obvious, so I don't even have to mention that. The following are:
-Javelin -Graal -Harrier -Carnifex/Paladin -Reaper Blackstar (kind of like a distorted Abomb sound)

And I have a weird amused fondness to the sound of GPShotty - not the shooting sound (that's just meh), but the charging, that goes nirrrnn, nirrrnnn, nirrrrnn.

The thing is, many people forget that all weapons sound differently when someone uses it personally and when someone is using them while standing next to you. Wraith has a great raw sound when you're not using it yourself. So if this "contest" wants to be objective, it has to consider "both sounds". That's just my opinion I can honestly say I've never noticed that, but I accept it as a genuine observation so promise to listen more closely next time a teammate is using one. To me (when I'm using it myself) it sounds like a broken bicycle bell, but I like Forest's description better. Also, Mission_Scrubbed , I agree with all you say with the exception of the inclusion of the Phaeston in the list of bad-sounding guns. I concede it's not a great-sounding gun, but it loosely echoes the sounds I could make with my own mouth when spraying friends with imaginary bullets as a child, and it is also my preferred sound when taking on the game in a GLORIOUS FAT kind of way. Haha...i'm glad you mentioned the Phaeston. I was a bit afraid to mention it amongst the wave of Claymore and Raider guns which i do agree make an impressive sound, but that Phaeston was one of the first guns that i fell in love with because of it's balance when i first started playing early on. And i found out through many visits in "Spectator Mode".... ......how great the gun really sounds.....yeah it's not as thunderous as the Claymore or Raider, but it looks and sounds like a lightweight AR gun....

I'm glad I'm not the only one who likes that sound For me, as a small petrolhead, it reminds me of the sound of a revving up engine. Motorbike engine to be more specific Also that some sort of vibrating effect is cool imo. It kinda makes this gun look and feel powerful. It's a subtle effect, but it works for me. WAT? Don't look at me like that. I'm in touch with my feminine side For more emphasis I used GPS on Asari and went to DA BEACH!

I do enjoy a GPS charging itself into orgasm. Rev is awesome too. Disciple has a cool punchy reverb effect that I dig. But christ I love me some Raider BLAMBLAM!
Of course there's always the merciless, destructive sound of the Falcon: *ploop*

The Valiant is so smooth and swift. I literally feel like an angry wasp stinging everyone with my bullets, just because of the sound alone. Then again, my vote has to go to the sound the Black Widow makes. Line up that perfect head shot on a cartwheeling Phantom and BANG! Not only is the sound satisfying, but combined with the sound of an exploding head... It makes a perfect harmony. I wonder if that's how composers feel when they hit that sweet spot that's just so good for the ears. *coughcough* This reply went somewhere weird.

You all have to understand that sometimes I have to kill my team mates. Sometimes I am a Geth Pyro or Infiltrator, sometimes an Asari Adept doing , or even an Awakened Collector doing dark channel. The point is not to use brute force, and not to close them in the Reactor too often - it's all about finesse.
The best weapon in the game is the Possessed Abomination, bar none. I love killing people with those things.

Last night I had a weird bug: all sound was gone. I left the lobby and the sounds were on again. So I thought everything was fine and joined another game. And everything was fine except the sound of my Claymore - it wasn't completely gone but rather sounded like it had a silencer on. Imagine that Claymore with a silencer. It was very weird and put me off my game on several occasions.
