Yeah my steaks look very much like that but unfortunately the cake only got to about half the height. Well that's at least one ... and about the cake ... keep reading. Next time i'm in Australia i will bake you a Lemon Drizzle Cake or any cake you'd like. Sounds fantastic.

I'll admit that pea soup isn't terrible if you put enough ham or bacon in it. Good quality smoked ham being the preferred ingredient.

I'll admit that pea soup isn't terrible if you put enough ham or bacon in it. Good quality smoked ham being the preferred ingredient. I actually use a smoked Ham Hock and Bacon and cook it till the ham falls off the bone. I also use yellow lentils (?) or split peas I just buy them and have forgotten which, most recipes I have seen call for Green Split Peas.

Yup, that's the stuff! Used in traditional Finnish pea soup since time immemorial. It gives that nice, smoky flavour. But I like to add some ham too. most recipes I have seen call for Green Split Peas Most recipes do, but yellow split peas work just as well, I've found.

And talking about bacon i would say YES!! to that as well.
