This is probably old news by now, but I wondered if anybody else noticed this. Shotguns are by far my favourite/most used weapon. And amongst them, High Lord Claymore takes a special place. But I noticed for some time now that something doesn't add up. Whenever I finish the Streetsweeper challenge and start playing with shotguns again, what will happen is this: as long as I don't finish any other weapon challenge(for example Raider, Wraith, Venom...), I can finish Claymore challenge and it will register as completed, but then, the Claymore score will reset to zero... and start counting again. In this way, you can complete Claymore challenge much more often that the Streetsweeper one. I'm currently sitting at 11 completed Streetsweepers and 23 completed Claymore challenges. Maybe it's a PS3 exclusive bug. And I haven't checked it with any other shotgun if it also holds true. But for me, that's a proof that Claymore is indeed a The High Lord and none should be prioritized over it, less it takes offense  |

Btw, it s the only Shotty with wraith i have completed for each streetsweeper badge (13).
Claymore is @ 14 already though, while i havent played much wraith lately
(then it s graal @ 12, crusader, raider, gps and venom @ 11)

For me it's the same behavior like for Alfonse. Shotgun Mastery completed: 19 M-300 Claymore completed: 20 Working as intended TMIf I understand you correct, mordokai , you can do Claymore challenge over and over without having to reset Shotgun Mastery by playing with one of the lesser Shotguns. Sounds not like a bug. Sounds like a feature! |

I think counter do not calculate solos one at time. If you do 5 plat solos you´ve done 1 solo mastery and 1/1 plat, 2/2 gold, 5/5 silver and 5/10 bronze solos. So it counts your 5 plat solos as 1 plat solo. If you do 1 plat (1/1), 1 gold 2/2, 3 silver (5/5) solos counter tells you have completed 1 plat solo as you have finshed in that way 3 solo challenges. That makes more sense. |

Well, I have told an untruth.
I have done Biotic Mastery 36 times, and Tech Mastery 43. So, those are the challenges I've completed the most, followed by Geth, Collectors and then Street Sweeper.
I play Gold much more than Platinum, and thus my Map Mastery lags at 21.
Manifest tells a lot about the player, if you know how to read the tea leaves.

I suspect mordokai is coming up with creative ways to get me back on PS3.  I never had that bug/feature, and I'm pretty sure I would have noticed.  As for the challenges in general, my most completed ones over the three classifications are Tech Mastery (71), Bloodpack Mastery (15) and Reaper Mastery (38). My Solo Mastery record (10) does not include a single successful Plat extraction. I might have to do something about that one of these days. Then again I might not. Stats alone cannot illustrate the pain or long-term discouragement of late wave 10 server-failure, although I agree very much with Qui-Gon GlenN7 that players' manifests can occasionally be quite revealing. |

It's primarily a Collector/PS3 issue with me, combined with a fairly strong hatred of Cerberus (#FuckCerberus) and a blind hatred of Krogans (Warlords and Vanguard Reegar-wielders in particular) who pre-select Geth due to excessive pyjakery. I've always loved killing Reapers, and to be completely honest I don't think I'd get bored with the game if they were the sole enemy faction. It's not because they're the easiest, it's because they play fair for the most part*, but it's also true that I like knowing I can play against them using any character or gun in the game. I can honestly say I only ever get comparable enjoyment against the Geth if I'm in a full Quarian squad, and I really only enjoy playing against Cerberus as a Human character, although I frequently pick an AA for pre-set lobbies. I absolutely love playing Collectors on Xbox, but my Mastery completions are still led slightly by Reapers - probably just an RNG factor when searching U/U/G. * The 'People's Elbow' has a touch of class about it, as do Phaeston XXXs as used by Marauders. Ravager goo and Swarmers might be annoying but they're completely logical and well-implemented. Brute sync-kills don't bother me at all in theory, because in practice I only have myself to blame if I get caught by one. Being Irish I've been terrified of Banshees since infancy and have no issues with any of the things they're capable of. As an enemy faction I think they're really well done overall, with the lack of Husks which affects CP completion the only genuine frustration for me. Every time I complete 16/18 of the component Reaper Mastery parts I'm still only halfway through the number of Husks I need to kill. I suspect it's why you occasionally find people with huge CP scores on Silver, as all the enemy factions are balanced best at that level in terms of CP completion. And muahmuah - thanks for the 'encouragement' regarding a Plat solo. Since I saw your comment I've had around 15 attempts, all unsuccessful White/Reaper games, ranging in length from 56 seconds (DrellGod sync-kill) to two 40 minute level 9 wipes (TGI and Justicar). I've had decent attempts with the VorSent, BatSol and QFE, but I'm using sub-optimal consumables deliberately (Power Efficiency and Targeting VI) as I refuse to waste things I can put to better use in team games. In the case of the TGI I still had 8 missiles at my disposal and I almost broke my controller in frustration. Still not as bad as my first serious solo attempt which ended in a disconnect as I was capping the final wave 10 device while still in possession of several gels and missiles. That controller had to go into the bin.  I sometimes think about popping back onto my main account for unlimited access to level X URs and all the consumables I could ever need for such an endeavour, but I can usually come up with 10 things I'd rather be doing than wasting an hour and getting trolled by un-modded objective waves or disconnects. Not to mention phone calls or real life causing interruptions. I will do one, someday, but for the time being I still prefer exchanging 'GG' messages with Pugs, rather than going out of my way to prove my 'skill', just for the sake of it. I'm not particularly skillful, and I'm ok with that. Which reminds me that perhaps I should just try a Glorious Fat approach, next time round... |
