I'm just curious as to what you guys think Revan's default Jedi Class would/should be in KOTOR?
I think I've read that he's a soldier in the "canon" but I don't remember seeing what his Jedi Class was...
Would he be a Guardian, Sentinel, or Consular?
Or maybe, what do you all prefer to play Revan as?

I normally played a female as well. I typically went soldier/guardian but I was just curious as to what the "canon" (quotes since kotor is legends and not canon) Revan was other than light side male.
I think Revan would be a Sentinel? Isn't that the class that dual wields the sabers?

I think Revan would be a Sentinel? Isn't that the class that dual wields the sabers? Revan was universally OP. Sometimes he used single blade, other times dual. He was strong in the force, a great duelist and had great technical skills (building robots, etc). He's all classes combined, but I suppose you might equate that to being a really powerful Sentinel. I used to play as dual wielding 5/15 Scout/Guardian with high wisdom, charisma and strength. It required leaving intelligence at 10 but it didn't affect gameplay in any way since the only skills worth having are persuasion and repair. This way you can be an awsome duelist and force user, and it's quite fun.

I was going to try to make a more canon type Revan since I've decided to play the game again. (and use the jedi from the start mod) Your build may work for that if he is great at both the force and dueling that way.

Here you can find a similar build to the one I've used: www.ign.com/faqs/2010/star-wars-knights-of-the-old-republic-optimal-character-build-guide-1100866It's the scout/guardian he described, except I went light side and used more light-side powers. Only must-haves are force cure, force speed and force lightning, at least for me

Dual wielding guardian and one handed sentinel. I think I really liked the "obi-wan build" as I had more powers to use if I remember right.. I cannot find the guide anymore though

Revan is canoncially an expert with the lightsaber, the Force, and tech, so any Jedi class would do. In a prequel comic, there was a vision of him defeating Malak while using a blue lightsaber blade, which COULD indicate Guardian as his "class" THe comic also canonically states that he wears Duron Qel-Droma's robes, which are found on Korriban I myself tend to play him as a Scout/Sentinel.

I prefer Scout/Sentinel, since canon Revan definitely was a polymath, so this jack-of-all-trades build fits that.

i do say go what you feel like. Also Jedi Sentinel of Kotor will have the option to Dual Wield, Single blade or Double Lightsaber. As long as you pick right feats for that playstyle go for it.
With my Last Jedi Sentinel playthru, +14 to Strength, Dexterity, Intelligence and Wisdom. +10 to Constitution and +12 to Charisma.
In short, go whatever you feel comfortable with your Revan and still be right. You can take inspiration from The Old Republic class design but not Rely on it. for example, Jedi Sentinel in The Old Republic is a dual wielding with a stealth option. Conversely Jedi Sentinel Bastila Shan is a double lightsaber practioner with no stealth ability.
Due to mine preference, I prefer the Jedi Sentinel for Revan due to the End game on the Lightside. Jolee is a good Jedi Consular and Juhani is good as a Jedi Guardian.

Well, I got to the part on Dantooine where you choose your class and... I can't decide! haha
I went scout as my non-Jedi class for the repair/tech type stuff since Revan built HK-47, so that would make sense, but for the Jedi class... I need both lightsaber skills and lots of force power. Which would mean I need both Guardian and Consular. Guardian is the only one that gets the third tier lightsaber proficiency I think so I guess Revan needs to be Guardian?

is your Revan melee or force focus? Melee focused will favor Jedi Guardian and known to have most of their stats favoring Strength, Dexterity and Constitution. Strength will improve damage for Unarmed Combat, Lightsabers and Melee weapons. Dexterity improves Defense, Stealth, Blasters Attack bonus and if it is higher than Strength, then it will improve Attack bonus for Lightsabers.
with Jedi Sentinel, they are a bit more flexible. My personal preference is that a good Jedi Sentinel should have +14 Intelligence due to they are supposed to be the skill oriented Jedi Class. then depends on your Jedi preference if you are going with melee focused or force focused. Side note: if you are going to make a Melee Focused Jedi Sentinel, having +14 strength and +14 dexterity to good with a Melee Focused Jedi of any class. Force Focused Jedi will favor +14 wisdom, +14 Charisma.
I would love a member here to attempt a Jedi BattleMaster: a Force Focused Jedi Guardian that uses a Normal Lightsaber and Short Lightsaber and uses all of the Master Two Weapons Fighting Feat and Lightsaber Specialization. And uses all of the Team oriented buff to empower him/herself and their team.

well that is a good either or build. I do suggest a Jedi Guardian but it can fit into a Jedi Counslar. Also boost your strength and constitution to +16 Side note: if you keep your strength to +15 there are a gloves called the Dominators. they give +5 to Strength. I do think there is a +3 to Constitution Implant at Manaan shops. Also if you chose the LS Ending there is The Starforge Robes for +5 to Wisdom. So keep in mind with your Jedi Consular. for a Jedi Robe build, Force Valor is a good ability to get inorder to boost your stats and Max it out too.

Destroyer Droid and Stasis/Stun Tree are good Light side offensive abilities. Keep in mind that Kotor 1 Dark Jedi Build need to dip into Neutral abilities like force speed(Light/Grey and Dark can use easily) In short Force Speed is speed boost and Knight and Master levels will add Attacks per Round if you are playing more aggressive Jedi Robe Build of any alignment.

LS characters get better gear.

Dark Jedi Builds are often debuffers as well. For example, a combination I want to try out is Plague+Force Suppression. Plague Tree lowers an enemy's stats and if you are facing Jedi of any alignment it will remove buffs and lowers force points. In short, it will make easier work of tough Jedi bosses by lowering their stats and removing buffs.
Possible Jedi Challenge: Jedi Shadow: Scout/Jedi Sentinel that has a focus on Stealth. Possible Force abilities: Heal, Force Valor, Plague, Force Suppression and Force Immunity.

Yeah DS characters tend to get more powerful/destructive abilities. LS characters get better gear. It's a pity Neutral/Gray Jedi can't get anything cool gear wise or a bonus or something. I'm slightly below the middle on the alignment scale which means... no gear for me. lol

Force Speed+Master Power Attack+Double Lightsaber+ +16 Dexterity+ Lightsaber Focus+ Master Two Weapon Fighting= Good Damage
+16 Dexterity if higher than strength will give +3 to Attack with any lightsaber type. Master Two Weapon Fighting will negate most of the Attack Penality. Lightsaber Focus will give +1 to Attack with Lightsabers. Master Power Attack will give +10 to Damage to Lightsabers, Melee Weapons and Unarmed Damage but with a -3 to Attack. But with a +16 Dexterity, Lightsaber Focus and Master Two Weapon Fighting will overcome that disadvantage. Master Two Weapon Fighting will apply to balanced weapons like Double Lightsabers, Double swords(normal and vibro versions) and Off-hand Weapons like Short lightsabers, short swords(normal and vibro) and certain blasters pistols. Also with Master Two Weapon Fighting, you can use 2 normal lightsabers or 1 normal lightsaber with 1 short lightsaber.
with your build, with +15 to Strength, you will get +2 to Attack and +2 to Damage when in Melee(unarmed, melee weapons and lightsabers). if you want to be good melee oriented Jedi, boost your strength to +16 thru various means. side note: there will be a pair of gloves you can possibly get after the Revelation when you take to an Exchange liasion to get Mika's special stock. Dominator Gloves gives +5 to Strength. So you can use that to make your +15 Strength to +20 strength. Thus +5 to Damage and Attack with all melee. At Dantioone, go to the Shop and get the CNS Strength belt. CNS Strength Belt+Dominator Gloves=+7 to Strength.
So with +15 plus that belt and gloves will give you a +22 Strength thus giving you a +6 to Damage and Attack. Just curious what level is your Scout? if s/he is at level 8, your character will automaticly get Lvl 3 Implant Feat. Thus able to use really good implants if you want too.

Master Duelist Tree is +3 to Defense +3 to Attack. so couple with the strength and melee penalities will be almost negated.
Master Flurry if I do remember for Kotor 1 needs a positive attack modifier and good strength. Also you can use Lightsaber Crystals to modify Attack, Damage or other effects. Find the combination of Lightsaber crystals that you like.
If Attack bonus is not a problem, Opila+Nextor Lightsaber combination is a good combination. Nextor gives +1 to Attack and Keen. Keen improves Critical Range. So if you have a 19-20, it will be 18-20. Opila will give + 3 Damage: Energy and Massive Critical Damage +2 to +12. So using both of them together in 1 lightsaber will increase of your chances of getting a Critical hit and getting improved Damage from that Critical. and if you are facing a Enemy that has immunity to Critical Hits, it will damage as Normal. Also Master Dueling feat will increase your Defense a great deal by +3 Defense.
also using Force Valor at Master level will give you a +2 to attack and Damage for Melee characters due to its giving +5 Strength as well

you should have lvl 3 Implant for Free due to your character is a scout. Scouts get Implants and Uncanny Dodge at certain levels.
paying attention to items and want they do will help out a great deal for gameplay and roleplaying aspects of your character. For example, Even Number on your attributes will be more useful than odd.
for example, I noticed you have a +13 to Dexterity. it will have the same bonus as +12 dexterity. +1 to Defense. also depending if you are on the xbox or the pc,there will be money making tricks for pricier items for late game items at Shops.
when an attribute is green, it is modified by Item or Force ability. Responsive Implant is a early good +1 Dexterity Implant. there are a few gloves that give +1 to Dexterity as well. Side note: you can stack odd ball numbers today to make them even if you want too.

I also made a scoundrel sentinel and man, let me tell ya, if I can stun them with stasis... critical strike does hella damage!
I was trying for the stealth belt type of user but, I really don't think attacking from stealth does anything except get you out of position and away from your teammates. But stasis and stun droid make up for it so far. This is actually really fun. lol
