Do you think they played Andromeda with parental guidance?
pbs.twimg.com/media/DLglqR6UQAAiqY6.jpgDamn why are links showing up as broken? You can see the pic if you click on it!
What do you think of young people playing Mass Effect?

I think this was much better start for them than ME1, even though its my favourite. Many things will go over their head until they're older, but the gameplay is very good and easily approachable.

Compared to what kids now a days can be exposed to MEA is pretty tame. I started my son off with the OT at 11...kind of playing through side by side. I used videogames as a tool to maintain an open dialogue and to segue into broader discussions. It was a successful strategy for myself but comes down to whether parents have firsthand knowledge of what their kids are processing...and whether they're available to help them process through the information.

It will be a bit. My son is just over 2 and there will be another in 2019. So I'll be playing Anthem but probably quite tired. Another 10 years and they can probably play. Depends on what my wife thinks. I usually follow her orders unless I think I can just ask for forgiveness and it'll be fine Nice lithographs. I have Drack on my wall.

MEA it seems was aimed at a different generation of gamer compared to the trilogy. MEA was focused more on open world, combat, and world building and less on story, characters, and dialog. Many of today's gamer wants a simple or no story, characters don't matter a whole lot, and dialog is nice, but the less they have to read the better. They care more about the pew pew and being able to play with friends than anything else. On that front, MEA delivered.

I think it's ok up until you get into the romantic stuff. Just because kids know about and maybe see stuff on tv is no excuse for letting them see that stuff in the video game.....that part of MEA i would skip over completely.....let them enjoy the story of MEA...they don't need to see or participate in the romantic scenes.
Those kids in that pic look what? 10 or 11 maybe?....plenty of time for them to see mature adult themes films, let them be kids and just enjoy the experience for now...it's rated "M" for a reason....

Mass Effect's always had a simple story, albeit one that went off the rails in the end, but how much characters matter is really down to personal preference. There's still a fair amount of content for each follower, and there's actually quite a bit of dialogue, if you choose to explore it. If you're looking primarily for combat and multiplayer, I'm not sure why MEA would even really qualify. MP is more or less tacked on, like it is with ME3. There aren't a lot of modes, just enemy types and difficulty levels. A player looking for beefier MP would be better off going with a game that focuses more on that entirely.

Unless you go the Space Josephine route (Suvi), where the most the lil chillins get to see is some brief kissing.

Given that you shoot up enemies by the thousands, mostly in green gooey head explosions, I think the romantic stuff should be the least of your worries as far as kids are concerned.
