Started my 2nd playthrough as Sarah. First one was completed on august 2017. Some thoughts via some unordered sentences as i really want to give this game appretiation:
Game looks great on my ps4pro with HDR. There are some visual annoyances as in all games. major one is the bad pop-up and draw distance.
The music is too low for my states as there are some nice ambience.
Sarah looks fine but the facial animations are meh. I do not mind these much however.
On Eos the whole part at first is really promising, even after visiting it a second time, the whole empty putpost 1 "hope" has a mystery in it.
The cast Peebee , Cora, Liam and Drack do not seem boring and i really want to know them again.
Tempest is a beauty.
GALAXY MAP THEME has a nostalgia felling that's familiar in a mass effect way and that good. Somehow they managed to really deliver in this regard.
Even though i played all the heavy hitter games Andromeda really is good game for me enough to lοve it. Is it good like the past trilogy?
No but this is such an unfair comparison. Could it be better? ofcourse.
Internet hate machine and the initial unfinished state really messed it up imo. Andromeda deserves better word of mouth and it gets some good in it from my perspective. Most who played it liked it.

The only thing I would suggest is instead of comparing it to the past three games compare it to the first Mass Effect game. In my opinion Mass Effect 2 and 3 get a lot of passes because they are expanding upon the characters and concepts from the games that came before them. So to me at least Mass Effect 1 and Mass Effect: Andromeda are closer then comparisons to the other two sequels.

Oh I didnt know about the popup, I'm on highend PC... Music, on all bioware games, music 100, others 70 This. I learned that you need to turn the music slider up the rest down. |

I felt that making both versions of Ryder exist regardless of which one you choose was a much better incentive to play through at least once as each.

Which was kind of ironic really because it wasn't trying to be like the trilogy. Yes it is a ME story but it was trying t oshow a different side to the universe a story that wasn't supposed to be all doom and gloom like the trilogy was. I liked the game and I think I managed to accept it easier because I never tried to compare it with the trilogy and chose to judge it on it's own merits. I knew that once the worst of the bugs had been ironed out it would be a decent game which it is imo. It's just a shame it wasn't supported with some extra story DLC as I think that would have helped. |

The launch of it was plagued by issues due to being rushed and it was released before online patches were the norm. Tons of content was cut and most of the issues are only fixed on the PC version thanks to modders. Slightly different situation here but not by much. |
