It was better than I expected it to be. They should've made a story that didn't involve Collectors though, something new not tied to the main plot would've opened up the setting more.

Well paragon lost was not that terrible to me, it just started the wrong way by focusing on Vega and wanting to be open to too many people.
It should have go full halo legends and try to explore many different stories and elements of the mass effect universe instead of giving all of the time to a story we already know the conclusion. Aside from that I don't consider paragon lost to be shit, just an ok anime to watch and give a bit of time, but not worth coming back after that.

I'm glad Paragon Lost (and Mass Effect Conviction) filled out Vega's backstory. Made him a much more interesting character to me in ME3. Movie on its own is rather meh, though Freddie Prinze jr.'s voice-work is really good.

I'm of the opinion that Paragon Lost wasn't bad. It's not amazing either but I did feel that it at least stayed above mediocre. The way so many details stayed loyal to the lore of the Mass Effect universe also gave me the impression that the creators had done their research or had, at the very least, tried their best. Although to this day, I have no idea why they made the Collectors gigantic. That had to be a creative choice and I just do not get it.
