In order to choose a specific save file, you have to go into advanced selection.
I simply picked the character without going advanced, so I assume the game either imported information from all files or automatically selected the last one (Post Coronation).
Should I expect any bugs?

Should I expect any bugs? So, I wouldn't expect you to still need the answer, but someone else may be curious. The import function will pick the last, most recently dated save file. I like to load up right after the coronation (the game allows this in case you didn't complete the dlc) as a post-game camp visit to sort the inventory for import. There will be bugs found in Awakening, but the only real thing related to importing is that most dlc items don't transfer. I believe only items from Honnleath (The Stone Prisoner) and Return To Ostagar will import successfully. And runes equipped to weapons sometimes work and sometimes don't.
