OK, bit of click-bait in the title & my 'discovery' may be common knowledge? After noticing that Remnant Assemblers (red bar enemies) are the ones 'creating' the Observers (those shielded, flying raygun robots Assemblers throw out) I tried an experiment (gold solo games): go for Assemblers first, ignore Observers. Turns out that, killing all Assemblers means that Observers never have to be killed! (Well, once in a while, an Observer or two are the last remaining enemies in the wave).
Now the sad part: unfortunately, I can only do this with the Angara Avenger
Observers are too pesty when I play other characters and can't be ignored. But if I play Remnant with my A.Avenger, I use this strategy. Teammates may be perplexed why I'm so concentrated on simple red bar Assemblers but it's because I have a strategy! (Plus, one sticky can often kill a bunch of grouped up Assemblers.)

& just respawn if you kill them. Yeah, and Anointed are priority targets for me when playing Kett. I don't bother with Ascendants until they are all taken down.
