Just mechanical/technical questions that arent readily explained in-game:
1. What's the difference between cryo beam and snap freeze? Other than range (snap freeze seems to be close range only, cryo is unlimited range) and snap freeze being an area effect, they both seem to be channeled and act almost identical otherwise.
2. The human juggernaut's remnant armor passive... how exactly does it gain stacks? I know it's whenever you deal damage with a power or weapon or melee attack, but how many attacks, or how much damage, do you need to deal in order to ramp it up to max? Does it stack faster with an automatic weapon like an auto rifle, or does the higher damage of a shotgun up close max it quicker?
3. Assuming cooldown and duration last long enough, can abilities that both prime and detonate be used to combo themselves? I.e. warp, which can have up to a 15 second duration and a 4 second cooldown: can it prime and then detonate the same target 4 seconds later? Or do you need to use a different ability than what was used to prime in order to detonate?
Would appreciate any answers you guys have for these.

Tips on the MEA MP builder have just unlocked for everyone. You can find pretty much all the answers on mechanics there 1. They're different, read the Tips on both skills and you'll understand how exactly 2. There's very few info on the exact mechanic. We don't know the damage threshold for each stacks, but I can tell it works with damage thresholds... Since it works by damage thresholds, as long as you deal X damage within Y seconds, you get the bonus. This means it doesn't matter how you get there, be it in 1 shot or a 100. 3. You cannot detonate with the same power you primed, but another player can. If you use Throw twice in a row, you can't detonate the enemy. But, if you use Throw and then a teammate use Throw on the same enemy, you get a Biotic explosion. The Numerical Master Book (google document) is also an excellent source of information.

Regarding #1 the main differences: - Snap freeze can debuff better (it has an extra 20% universal debuff that cryo lacks)
- Snap freeze is a ~1 second cast with shorter range but basically instant effect on everything it hits (protip: spray the entire area if there's multiple foes nearby), whereas cryo takes a lot longer to apply it's effects
- Cryo has superior range and potentially shorter cooldowns if you spec it that way and/or stop before the entire cast is completed
They are both extremely good.

One thing though, that I noticed, is that cryo beam's 6A upgrade (Also called snap freeze) seems to make it more universally useful. Any cryo combos you do with cryo beam and that upgrade will cause more damage and freeze other enemies in a larger area.
Honestly if the human male engineer had a cryo gauntlet, he'd be a perfect character for freezing all the things.

You should then like Human Artificer, even though she's a bit on the squishy side, she has Invasion and Cryo Beam + Remnant Cryo Gauntlet. I love her she can make pretty glass explosions all day long and help others by doing those.

Snap Freeze evo on Cryo Beam is also applied to Cryo Ammo.

Snap Freeze evo on Cryo Beam is also applied to Cryo Ammo. And cryo ammo from your assault turret too. My engineer is all ice. I just wish he could use a remnant cryo gauntlet

Never been a big fan of invasion though and it feels like a wasted ability to me, also except for the vi's missiles she has no way to detonate frozen enemies

Invasion is great debuff skill, maybe the best. Lounch it at bigest enemy in a spawn group from the other side of the map, let it spread, benifit. Rinse and repeat. Leave VI at 1.

If you haven't figured it out already, Cryobeam is kind of like a cold equivalent of flamer. Hold down your power button for longer uses to deal more damage. From what I know, Cryobeam has two uses (which have kind of already been covered). Snapfreeze evolution for Cryobeam works wonders on groups (particularly red bar/health based characters). The burst damage that you can deal with specialization off the charts. The other evolution, Cryo Trap, is great for creating "hazard zones" that can freeze enemies funneled through choke points, even when you're not actively using your Cryobeam. Right now I have my Human Enginner specced for Snapfreeze to take advantage of the fact that I can detonate combos with Overload. And I have my Artificer specced for Cryotrap to be a more general debuff character.
Snapfreeze (the ability) is pretty similar to it's ME3 counter part. While it does sort of do damage over time, once you hit the power button once you commit to the full animation. Unlock Cryobeam it freezes unshielded targets on contact. It's great at disabling red bar enemies and debuffing (it has one of the best debuffs in the game). As an added bonus, you can still trigger cryo explosions should you need the burst damage.

One thing though, that I noticed, is that cryo beam's 6A upgrade (Also called snap freeze) seems to make it more universally useful. iirc the 6b option applies the debuff to foes who hit the trap. On plat where armor is ubiquitous, 6b has amazing utility. Moral of the story is I'd argue this is highly debatable as snap freeze only really works on low threat unshielded mooks whereas cryo trap will debuff high threat armor.
