*Ignore This Thread* Edit: My Test Didn't Solve the Mystery

Huh. That did not reveal anything. I am disappointed, because I really wanted to solve that mystery on the first try.

Okay! I'll grab the links to show the weirdness.

So my first thought was, "If you change your forum name, it doesn't always update everything." So I tested it with this thread and looking through my older threads, but nope... everything updated to my new forum name, and back again when I changed it back.

So the forum says that the wrong account created the thread, but the OP is still right. I don't know if there are other examples, but the weirdness has perplexed me, and now I'm looking for others to see if I can solve the mystery.

As you can see, I was deep into my investigation, complete with pitchurs!

But sadly, I have found no answers. Is there a cosmic dog behind the curtain pulling the strings? I can't prove it's not true!

I thought of that, but the OP is correct. It's still there - hasn't been deleted.

I don't understand.

How can a post be both deleted and plainly visible at the same time? O.o

Are you saying there is some symbol or visual information displaying that it was deleted? I'm notorious for not noticing these things, but I'm not seeing anything. I also remember Vortex creating the thread when I originally responded.

And Gandalf wasn't a member until October 2017, but the thread was created in August of 2016. I'm not understanding the "plainly visible" thing I'm missing, honestly... O.o
