Why does the ushior pistol deal more damage per shot than the isharay sniper rifle? Doesn't make much sense to me, I was going to use both on my angaran themed character but there's no point in using the rifle over the pistol for 99% of gameplay.
Also, on a side note, has anyone managed to make the scorpion, rozerad, or talon useful for single player? Right now my backup weapon is a rozerad with beam emitter buy it just seems weak for a sustained fire weapon

Scorpion or Talon.. I never liked them in the previous games much either. |

?? According to both my own spreadsheet and Xaine's spreadsheet the ushior does 500 damage per shot at rank 1, while the Isharay does 615. Any deviation from this comes from the way you specced your Ryder or augmented those weapons. As for the other weapons: The Rozerad needs (imho) are large magazine to take advantage of its high end fire rate. Add a small accuracy bonus and that thing is pretty devastating. (At least it is for me, not sure about base game anymore) The Scorpion is kind of strange. IIRC full damage upgrades (maybe a magazine mod, too) and incendiary ammo also make short work of tight enemy groups. If you do not use a ceratin weapon mod, then the pure DPS of the Talon against most targets is underwhelming, but it has the 25% shotgun damage bonus against armour. This makes it a good side arm to use against Fiends and the like. (On difficulties below Hardcore, even the rank1 Talon does more damage against armour than it does against health.) |

Maybe it's because I have points in pistols but not sniper rifles, but in my R&D screen I'm showing higher numbers for an ushior of equal level than an isharay.
