Allright. One of my favorite things to do, and no doubt I am not alone in this: Pre-game release theorycrafting!
I'll try to keep a list of all known weapons, gears (per Javelin), ultimates and combo's we see in pre release videos. Feel free to contribute! Last updated: 2018/07/13
Gears seem to be interchangeable, and mountable on your javelin. I.e., in the gameplay video, the 'Legendary' Multimortar was equipped on the left shoulder, while the railgun was equipped on the right arm. There are some open questions though: - Some gears are javelin-specific. Those that aren't are not yet known? - do you always need to mount these on your javelin? - are gears restricted to left and right slots?
Weapons
* Assault rifle
* Grenade launcher
* Handgun
* Flamethrower
Combo's
seem to be rather freeform. I.e. set something on fire/lightning/ice, and any detonator makes a fire/electric/ice combo.
* Ice combo
* Fire combo
* Electric combo
Colossus
* Railgun:
A chargeable one-shot high-damage shot. Knocks flying enemies out of the sky Combo detonator
* Multi-mortar:
An area damage 8-shot mortar volley. Combo detonator Colossus-specific
* Flame wall:
An area damage, long-lasting fire damage carpet Sets up combos
* Shield:
Prevents/Reduces damage from the front. Has a health bar
* Collosus ultimate:
An area, 2-shot huge damage blast. Nuke explosion
Ranger
* Ice grenade: Area freezeing attack Immobilises sets up combos
* Pulse cannon:
???
* Ranger ultimate:
After locking on, fires of multiple homing missiles
Storm
* Lightning strike
Strikes an area with lightning Sets up combos
* Weird goop shots
Might be a gun, too... shoots several weird white globules.

I'm hoping the hints of cloaking and sword use by the Interceptor are true so I can go full on Predator.

I'm hoping the hints of cloaking and sword use by the Interceptor are true so I can go full on Predator. I'm hoping a 'Legendary' railgun shoots multiple shots. Kind of like the fusion rifle from destiny Then thepriming lightning ability, and my storm is ready to go!
Which reminds me, I forgot the ice grenade!

That's the Rangers Pulse cannon. Once it hits a target or surface, it ricochets and launches itself to any nearby targets.

No I'm referring to what play testers (who played the close door demo at E3) have said. The Ranger class has an ability called the Pulse cannon

That will cause massive confusion, given that there is a separate skill progression for pilots that apply to all Javelins. Let's not start theorycrafting with a trainwreck of terminology. Okay, that PSA out of the way, my thoughts: We should also map out known combos and try to figure out the status effects that set them up, and the detonator actions. For example, we know that frozen status hit by a railgun does a combo with splash freezing AoE damage. Ditto for enemy weaknesses. Anything with a status bar probably also has a pilot skill/perk associated with it, like the jetpack overheat bar. How many elements have we seen so far? Fire, ice and electricty for sure, any others?

can all skills be equipped on all javelins? Or are there restrictions? The devs have said that gear will have javelin restrictions. E.g., I think the mortar is colossus-only. Whether it's always a one gear-one javelin relation is an open question, though. We should also map out known combos and try to figure out the status effects that set them up, and the detonator actions. For example, we know that frozen status hit by a railgun does a combo with splash freezing AoE damage. From the very limited combat we've seen, it does not seem as if different combo detonators applied to the same combo primer/status effect result in different combos, at least not qualitatively. Both the mortar and the rail gun seemed to have the same effect (AoE cold damage+slow) when detonating against frozen enemies. It's still quite possible that smaller details may change based on detonator though, like the amount of damage done or AoE radius of certain effects. Please, please, please do not call weapons, or any gear, "skills." That will cause massive confusion, given that there is a separate skill progression for pilots that apply to all Javelins. Let's not start theorycrafting with a trainwreck of terminology. I concur. I personally prefer the following terms: - Weapon: this is what you hold in your hands and shoot with. It looks like you can have two weapons per loadout.
- Gear: these are what you equip on javelin hardpoints (shoulder, arms, etc). Like with weapons, it looks like you can have two per loadout.
- Ultimate: self-explanatory. Requires charge-up (similar to focus abilities in DA:I), one per loadout/javelin. It's unclear whether each javelin has exactly one ultimate (the devs sort of imply this because they repeatedly say things like "...THE colossus's ultimate..." instead of "...A colossus ultimate" when referring to the nuke) or whether the ultimate is just a special gear slot that you can slot different ultimates into.
- Perk: these are the passives (maybe also actives...?) attached to your pilot, gained upon level-up, that apply to all javelins.

Or. Gears.
Will edit with additional info.
