Hell, BioWare went out of their way to make sure Liara had a presence in MEA. I don't hate Liara. I just hate getting her shoved down my throat. In my just-finished ME1 run, Shepard had almost no interaction with Liara and so she wasn't a bother. I normally take her to Ilos because she'd want to see Prothean stuff, but I opted against this time. Besides, Liara was dead wrong about the Protheans. Shepard knew far more than she did.
