Here's my P.A.W. progression, sorted by date, variant, and the pack I purchased to get the drop. It took me 8 months to rank the P.A.W. up to X and another 3.5 months to get the mighty Siphon variant. TBH, P.A.W. Siphon I is good enough, but I am still a little bummed that it's only at Rank II whereas the Concussive and Bulwark variants are at V and VIII. I have been recording all of my pack opens since March 2017. I missed the beginning when I was buying Basic and Advanced packs. |

I’ve maxed out all the vanilla ultra rare weapons but I just keep getting shitty bulwark and concussive variants. The game refuses to drop useful siphon weapons Git Gud and then the Siphon variants become the shitty ones |

They're always tweaking "things" …
Observer movements, dogs in 3 packs vs two, breachers dodging, AI relative aggressiveness …
There are times I've felt the PAW might have been adjusted down a bit, however not enough to make me sure of it.
I run with the long barrel and heavy magazine … on gun bunnies, I don't notice it, but on power kits, I *think* I'm seeing a nerf.
Also, I think some of their adjustments are temporary … testing stuff? IDK.
It's been a few months, but they adjusted the AI spawn points on Vertigo … I think in response to how folks were playing it.
Folks adapted their playstyle, so it would not surprise me to see another adjustment.
tl;dr: I've felt that there were adjustments on the PAW, but if made, they were small enough for me to be unsure if it was real.

PAW seems fine to me so far. Grade one, zero enhancements to weapon damage/critical damage (so no passive weapon bonus, active powers increasing weapon performance, debuffs of any sort, equipment or boosters adding weapon damage), still melts shit pretty well.
On Gold, anyways.

At Apex level of about 17+k (returned to the game after a year+ hiatus). *A sort of disclaimer* I'm not a hardcore player of any sort, rather vice versa - as casual one, as it just can be. But even I and even on non-weapon classes (like Human Artificer, for instance) constantly get "Gold AR kills" with it (with Barrel VII or VIII and Magazine IX or something).
P.S. BTW, tried some other formerly luckluster ARs like, for instance, Halberd and - maybe it's just me! - they do not seem sucking as badly as in October 2017 (when I left this game previous time).

Should I mention I recently got a P.A.W., after about 10 hours of multiplayer? ** And Rank 2 maybe 7 hours later? And never used credits for anything but Basic Packs.
** I admittedly had many MF from the APEX app. Enough to buy 8 UR's. Plus two from Celebrations. But 2 PAW's out of 10 ain't bad! |
