The good guys? I mean, what if we start off as a foot soldier that happens to deliver the final blow to one of the franchises favorite characters? Like Sten or Leliana or Varric or, hell, Cullen? What if we start off as one of the bad guys? I think the story of coming back from something like that would be very interesting.

I want to fight the Thedosian equivalent of a Kraken, which I guess is one of those sea dragons, I can't remember what they're called...something with a 'c'.

Killing Sten would be a real trip for people who played the games but didn’t read the comics. “Kill the Arishok.” “Ok! I’ve done it once, I can do it a- ohhhhh no.”

If the next game is in Tevinter, I expect to fight plenty of corrupt magisters, and hostile Qunari forces. I would prefer Calpernia as an ally character, but I see a conflict, though not necessarily a direct one, with major factions or with much of the Magisterium hierarchy. I'm definitely open to more dwarf intrigue too. I would love to have a former player character as an adversary in some form, so a huge upvote for that suggestion Walter Black. My favorite approach would require multiple games (getting to side with or against Solas, then potentially becoming a boss for the next protagonist), but your idea condenses the concept into a more feasible action. Whatever happens, I don't want Bioware to cram Grey Wardens and the other Old Gods into the same game as Tevinter and Qunari.

There are so many potential options...qunari, corrupt magisters, Solas, Morrigan, Old Gods, etc.
But if I really had to choose one, I think I'd choose the qunari. More specially a qunari with access to advanced technology. Like a dreadnaught's canon, full body vitaar, an experimental firearm, or even just unique weapon techniques. Now the typical strong-and-ferocious qunari are all well and good, but I think it is time to show off thier ingenuity a bit. Because for all that we hear about thier advanced tech, we never actually see it all that much except in a few circumstances. So show us some of thier stuff.

STEN but I'm gonna cry like a lil bish fyi, I love him 5ever. I'd love to be at odds with a former protagonist. Could be an Inquisitor situation, with one of us inadvertently (or not-so-inadvertently) aiding Solas/Tevinter/Par Vollen and the other putting a stop to it. Or maybe finding the cure to the Calling is a death sentence for someone else so we have a Warden situation. Or if you left Hawke in the Fade, they could become possessed by the Nightmare... I'd love to see the dwarves at war, too.

Steniskok- I wonder how many players would stay true to their previous canon of recruiting and befriending Sten if it meant a harder boss fight (upgraded Assala), who is even more dedicated to 'civilizing" Thedas?
Solas- I disagree that Solas must be the Inquistor's adversary alone; if Wilson Fisk can go from Spider-Man to Daredevil, the Dread Wolf can do something, anything to create a link to a new hero. After we obtain whatever Macguffin we need to counter his Petrification powers, I see Solas debating us in the Fade after each story arc. After seeing what would truly happen to modern Thedas if the Veil comes down, and if we made the right choices, we can convince the Dread Wolf to stop, continue or fight. Lots of Rift magic, shapeshifting and illusions, the works.
I would like to fight Sten, the stubborn Qunari with a deadpan sense of humor. After re-education camp and making Arishok I can only imagine how much fun the meeting would be. If my warden could be there too!
Solas, I don't want to fight Solas, kind of want to see if he can bring his world back. If a fight must take place I would like it to be a huge, epic battle for the soul of Thedas. Solas forces against our characters forces, will be fun.
I like your other suggestions too.
I agree with this bolded part. To me, Solas would be more interesting as a Flemeth or Morrigan-type character - reoccurring foundation characters used to make discovering the world/history/lore of Thedas interesting. I also want to see him bring the real world of Thedas back, eliminating the limping Veil-blighted version of Thedas that we have now. If we're able to convince/enable Solas to figure out a way to do this without so much death, it would make a lot of factions have interesting reactions - for instance the Chantry may convince itself the Maker is laying the groundwork for some return. Fighting - I would love to fight the Qunari, mainly, and make inroads towards freeing Tevinter slaves/shaking up Tevinter society. It would also be interesting to see what lowering the Veil may do to their society, what changes it may bring to their views and use of magic.

You know not only would I love to fight the Qunari but I would love to go on a mission where we have a bunch of their ships all docked in a port and then have to fight our way across them from ship to ship to take out their entire fleet.

How about fighting yourself? During the game, the main character uses an eluvian that sends you to an alternate Thedas. The reason why is because there is an artifact, spell, potion that can stop Solas. Once there, you encounter a resistance group fighting the baddies led by....you, your alternate you. This resistance group will help you find what you're looking for, but you have to help them defeat alternate you first.

That's... sorta similar, I guess. And there's that sequence in the Gaunlet with the Warden and their party's ghostly doubles. This is a neat idea, though.

If Solas brings down the veil, a lot of people are going to die. That makes him an antagonist that has to be stopped one way or another. I don't think the folks who want Solas to bring down the veil really know what they are asking for.
