Originally, according to Aaron Flynn, they had an entry and exit animation for the Nomad, but they found that repeating that animation became tedious, so they deleted it before the game was released. I've always thought it would have been cool to show it, maybe the first two times, then do the quick exit after that (where you can make the animation play mentally, if not in game) or leave it up to the player to do the animation or skip it. They sorta did something similar with traveling to planets within a solar system. Originally, when the game came out, you had to do the planet travel animation every. single. time. After about one solar system, that got pretty old and tedious. So in one of the patches, they added the ability to hit "tab" and eliminate the animation. I wish they would have made it a toggle, to automatically skip it. Something that could have been done for the Nomad entry/exit too … in my very humble opinion. I actually hate the Tab to skip it, I think its great that you can do it as I don't have too. But, it says TAB and i kind of hate seeing that when I want to look at the show. Most of the art of the game doesn't impress me, but i do like the flying through space stuff uts not amazing art but i just love the look of space travel, love it in pretty much every sci-fi game/show/movie that shows it in any detail.

Eh, 90% of my gameplay involves the Nomad. If you're even remotely interested in cleaning out your backlog (ie. not there to just blitz to the end of the main story) then the Nomad is prominent. Tying an enter/leave animation to it is all well and good, but again, given you can park in all manner of terrain (even halfway up a mountainside with a near vertical nomad for example), animations become problematic -- and you'll have to endure them constantly. I'd much rather it to be the way it is - and adding a 'feature' (if you can call it that) tied with an on/off switch: "Disable Nomad Enter/Exit Animations" - doesn't say much about its value).
As for the Nomad 'bubble', yes, you can leave the Nomad and see your crew spawn on-top of it, but that's because it is temporarily classed as a solid object. I've lost count of the amount of times I drove head first into trouble, hopped out, fired some powers and enjoyed a face full of friendly-fire due to the explosion while Drack & Vetra are supposedly standing on thin air above me. Doesn't change my enjoyment of the game - I love immersing myself in games and have done since the 80's, but I never forget the fact I am 'playing'. As such, I stay immersed but am not off-put when something barmy like that happens.

Press § (next to 1 on EU-FI keyboard) and write "ui." (without ""'s) and press tab and write "0" (without ""'s) - UI renderer is now off. (I think it is ui.render 0 for off and 1 for on, cant remember if it is ui.render or ui.rendervisible or else, but writing ui. and pressing tab will give the answer) Now you can take cool screenshots or playvideos without any UI renderer on top of the game But yeah, I'd like also to hide those hints..

According to Aaron Flynn, it did get done and was originally part of the game … and they removed it (my fault if I was not clear in my previous post) … Because it seemed tedious after the first few times seeing it in game. I never saw it because it was never part of the released game, perhaps one of the devs who visit BSN could weigh in if they saw the original animation … to give their perspective. Edit add: What melbella said. Also: From what Flynn said, the animator did an awesome job and the completed animation looked really cool. Of course, Aaron Flynn could have just been trying to make the dev feel better about content that was cut … but I take him at his word, that the animation was cool, but it took too long and doing it repeatedly on each of the planets, with the exception of H-047 (outside the protective bubbles), Havaarl and Aya (where you walk everywhere) … would quickly get old. I'm just amazed they didn't see the same problem with traveling to planets within a solar system.
Well, the planet travel is pretty cool looking. I loved it my first game and still try to let it play most of the time. I hit [tab] to skip some of them though, depending where I'm at in the game.
Same...i wasn't a big fan of Andromeda, but i did like traveling in the Nomad....it made the planet exploring and the planet itself feel fully realized....the popping in and out of the nomad didn't bother me too much, but the Nomad was a nice vehicle to look at and Bioware implemented some slick paint jobs for it....

I've just started playing the game for the first time, and am really enjoying it. The one single thing that really bugs me though is the lack of entry and exit animations from the Nomad. You just magically pop in and out of the vehicle like it's 1995. It makes me want to look away from my monitor every time I get in or out and imagine my team are jumping in/out in a heroic fashion. How about your companions appearing out of a black vapour every time you dismount in DAI? I think it means they're Reapers.

This is one of those things that sounds good in theory, but would get sick of after seeing it for the 100th time when you get out to fight some Kett, and then need to get back in. Example,r the cut scenes coming and going from planets or changing systems. I'm sure they looked good in development, but no one thought about players having to watch them over and over and over again.

To be fair, the first Mass Effect did this as well with the Mako.
