Specifically, in larger threads, I will get a notification that someone liked or quoted my post. I click the link (on mobile) and get taken to the page before my post. It is weird.
Happens in Lobby threads, particularly Jar Jar Appreciation Thread and Politics.

Odd. I haven't experienced that, but recently the pages will often scroll too far past the post I'm aiming for. Then the site isn't taking me to the last page I was on in a thread, and I'm missing a couple of notifications when I've been quoted too.
Perhaps there are multiple issues with Proboards?

I have made the effort to find the post in question a few times, always on the next page of the thread from where the link took me. So, I click the notification, and it takes me to one page before my post in the correct thread. Link error.

I've noticed another Link issue as well. If you try to select some text and use the Link button (to create a link), the web address you enter will not work. What happens is that it instead links to that post on the forum. For example: LINKAnd this is where that Link should have taken you: wccftech.com/ea-consoles-smart-tvs-frostbite-ugc/Strange...

Ok Hrungr , it worked for me so I'm not sure what's happening. Here's the copy and pasted BB Code of our two links, I've had to switch out the brackets to make it visible - Yours = (a href=""]LINK[/a) Mine = (a href="https://wccftech.com/ea-consoles-smart-tvs-frostbite-ugc/"]LINK[/a) There's nothing between the 2 "" in your link. Unless you forgot to enter it in the second line of the link box, it seems to have been deleted. You could go to the BB code version of your reply and copy it into there manually, and we can ask @howyummy if this is another bug.

In the Quick Reply text field, the BBCode now displays by default, and now looks correct when I use the Link button. LINKI did notice one other little thing to be cautious of though. If you use the Link button and highlight the "http://" in the URL in order to paste over it with your own link, if you take your mouse pointer off that line, it deselects it. So if you paste your URL, it will place it after "http://" and looks like this: (http://https://wccftech.com/ea-consoles-smart-tvs-frostbite-ugc/)

Interestingly, an image link that was broken for a couple days (and I couldn't be arsed to fix) has fixed itself this morning/overnight. I have also noticed the issue Hrungr mentions, many times. I will be glad to know this is fixed... I had considered it annoying but infrequent for me and I used the getaround of just posting the link in plain text, and then quoting a portion of the article. Ninja @howyummy fixes, or is this a ProBoards update?

I clicked on two quotes (then a like to test it) and the first quote did as you said, it went to the previous page. The other two were fine. I have been changing themes, maybe I'll change again and see it makes a difference. Also, not on mobile.

Well we're all adorable so that's probably it. I had blue, but the up version with the big dot (that has the like button at the top of the post). Now I'm trying Prime, I shall report back.

No idea, only @howyummy has access to the nuclear codes.
I'll let you know how this theme works out, if it's theme specific then it's us.

I've been having a couple of variations of this for a while, now. It's a bit similar to something that would happen in BSN groups, and a version of the... "bug" (or oddity, at least) is at play on another proboards forum that I administer. I think it is fundamentally attached to how the link system is designed, specifically, that it identifies links to post by count, rather than location. So, your link doesn't say "go to third post of second page in thread #1," but more something like "in Thread #1 link Post #1258." The difference may seem subtle, but it actually gets pretty significant once you start having posts moderated or deleted (so, um... pretty solid explanation for why the two mentioned threads would get hit a lot... ) Proboards seems to lean heavily on the second way for notificaations, at least most of the time. So when trying to find post #1258, several things can throw it off; it might not be able to find the post, instead going to the top of whatever page it thought it would find it (this can happen even if the post still exists, because the number will have changed if any prior posts were deleted) it might go to the wrong post that has been assigned the number, sometimes it even seems to go to the bottom of the prior page, or the page after, thought that seems to be less often. Links that are directly to the post in question don't seem to have the problem. Which is why if I click on a notification link, then attempt to link it directly, the results will be different. It may be possible to address it through global profile settings, but I suspect the issue could only really be addressed by ProBoards admin themselves. They have a support forum for such questions, but unfortunately they also have a bad system for logging into it, and I can't get access there ever since I registered on a second ProBoards forum with the same e-mail address.
