That's really kind of you, though I'll admit I'm rather saddened to see that video has attracted over a third 'dislikes'.

There are either people out there who don't like BSN very much or people thought my contribution was a bit shit, which I guess is an opinion they are allowed to have...

I found it irritating as well. I always thought you were Canadian.

I’d hazard a guess that a bunch of those people are just downvoting anything that isn’t new Anthem information, or assumed the interview was with a dev or something.

Don't worry about it.  It's all good and it's the reality of Youtube.  Dislikes are counted as a rating just as much as a like, so the more ratings, good or bad, the more Youtube will pay attention to the video and promote it. A lot of dislikes can actually be an advantage (unless it's over 90%, then it gets shunned by the algorithm).   Now going back through your catalogue and seeing where most of the dislikes are can help you mould your channel, but still, don't let them get to you.  Use them as a tool.

So, reasons - I hate Anthem and it will be shit.
BioWare sucks.
I don't like this channel (but they're giving you a view so they can dislike it )
Those who hated the old BSN.
Most likely tho is those who saw it as an advert for us. Viewers are very aware of being sold too these days as it's happened so much in the past.
Then all those other odd reasons, like the sound didn't work or whatever.

If you make a video that's about something else, another aspect of Anthem for example, and you just happen to have 'that guy from BSN' in it, you get almost the same impact without the hard sell.

Also, people are dicks. So there's that.  Two thirds liked it, I'm not sure I'd get those stats in my own family.

People will be people. We've got a certain YouTuber who has been putting 7-8 dislikes back to back within moments of each other on all my content for at least a week now. I just subtract those dislikes and the results usually put a smile on my face!

But ultimately, I agree with your statement and your reasons list. It's just how YouTube and by association, content rating works. I've never released anything I'm not 100% proud of and confident in. 1000 people can dislike the content and it won't cause me to lose any sleep at night!
