Wasn't sure where to post this (so if it's in the wrong place mods feel free to move it), I have all 5 of the Dragon Age Novels; Calling, Stolen Throne, Asunder, Masked Empire & Last Flight. I was thinking of starting with Last Flight because it is a prequel set 300 years before DA:O (or DAI), but unsure what to read next. Any suggestions?

Last Flight plays in both in the Dragon Age and the Exalted Age. Basically it plays during DAI and has backflashes to the Exalted Age. My recommended reading order would thus be: The Stolen Throne The Calling Asunder The Masked Empire Last Flight hope that helps.

nightscrawl.tumblr.com/post/138255586083/da-story-chronology-for-all-mediaStrictly speaking, one would read The Masked Empire up until the point of Celene’s departure to Halamshiral, switch over to Asunder, and then finish off Empire. There is significant time overlap in the two novels. But it's still safe to ignore this and go with the published date of Asunder and then TME.

Asunder and The Masked Empire both take place at the same time, roughly.
In Asunder, there is a more than clear mention of TME's events in the second half of the book, while I don't think there are any mentions of Asunder in TME.

Everyone knows you're supposed to read a dozen pages of each one then switch to the next book but 2 minus 5. Then if you're reading on the eve of Parvulis, turn to the back of the 3rd book from the left and read everything backwards until a werewolf can be heard howling in the East. That's your queue to down some mead, realise you forgot everything, and start again. Amateurs.
