Which sidequests did you like to do? Which did you despise with a passion?
For me, I think one of my favorite sidequests was clearing out the Solasan temple. While getting the shards was a bit aggravating, the battles were really fun in the end. I also liked that short and sweet sidequest of putting the flowers on the grave for that Dalish widower. That was a nice, short and sweet moment.
I really didn't like that haunted mansion sidequest in the woods. I did it once and then never did it again.
For character sidequests, Cassandra's was probably my favorite. Dorian's was by far the worst, and I really wished there was a "Fenris" method of forcing him to go back with his dad.

Where the Druffalo Roam was a tedious snail pace. Why didn't Lace Harding volunteer to round up those "doggies"?

I loved the Crestwood sidequests, helping the spirit, going into the cave to stop the rift and knowing all those people drowned. Coming across the lovers in the dam Freeing the slaves in the Exalted plains was incredibly sad. Character sidequests: I liked Cassandra's side quests especially the romance book one. Also meeting Bianca was fun. Oh and the dragons Yeah, Crestwood was fun. But which slaves in the Exalted Plains? Maybe it's been a while since I played it, but didn't you mean the Hissing Wastes?

Best: Dragon Hunting. The Emprise Du Lion and Red Templar Hunting. The Tomb of Fayriel. The taking of the forts in the Exalted Plains. But by far and away the best side quest in the entire game is the Knight's Tomb.
Worse: The Golden Halla. Shard Hunting. Once was enough.

Crestwood is my favorite, followed by the elven ruins (all of them, they have no ve creepy touch), the haunted mansion and some of the companions quests (Varric and Bianca, Cassandra, Vivienne's Wyvern heart, Iron Bulls loyality quest...)
Worst are all quests in the Hissing Waste (I hate that map) and shepherding animals home (halla, druffalo)

Best: the Crestwood sidequests, the lost souls quest in Fallow Mire and most of the Hinterlands quests . Worst: chasing that Golden Halla and collecting the Shards.

Worst: The combined quests for Frederic just because of the backtrack
Best: "Before the Dawn" and "Under Her Skin" because how they have consequences on the main quests.

Best: I love most of the side dungeons (like Lost Temple of Dirthamen and Château D'Onterre). Crestwood Still Water quest (even if they took it from Jade Empire). Cassandra's personal quests. The main quests (especially In Your Heart it Shall Burn and Champion of the Just...I really love Envy). Under her Skin because Calpernia. Taking the Exalted Pain Citadelle du Corbeau.
I never unlocked Varric's personal quest, never finished Emprise du lion and a bunch of other stuff in the game though.
Worst: reading letters that give you a quest and then reading another letter that finish it. There is a bunch of those in the Hinterlands.

My favorite side quests are all of the companion quests, especially Blackwall's and Cassandra's. I hate the golden halla quest, the druffalo and the 'fetch 10 elfroot for this person even though there's elfroot everywhere and they can get it themselves'-quests

I'll have to think about the best.
The worst, anything that deals with the Fallow Mire. Anything that deals with me waiting for "X" to play catch up with my team, like Where Druffalo Roam and the Golden Halla.

Best sidequest for me was the temple frozen in time.
Worst was the Abyssal High Dragon one - all the bloody fetching required before I actually got to fight the dragon.
Best companion/advisor quest - probably Leliana's or Blackwall's.

That halla was even worse than druffalo. Druffalo was moving slowly but at least it moved where you told it to. Halla just haphazardly runs around for the purpose of ticking you off. It feels like if you spend enough years bugging halla, it will randomly venture home. Both of them would be funner quests in Inky made BBQ.
As for best, it's impossible to pick. A lot of really good and very different ones.

Oh that reminds me that Caelpernia's 'Temple of Dumat' bit...well that whole Quest Line for Under Her Skin...but the sequence where you are talking with the Magister frozen in the bubble is one of the most chilling/ well done sequences in the entire game too.

It feels like if you spend enough years bugging halla, it will randomly venture home. Both of them would be funner quests in Inky made BBQ. And guaranteed you will run into a pack of wolves that will attack said halla and turn it hostile before you get it back to the Dalish camp. And then you have to save and reload (or just reload) in the hopes that it will set it back to normal. *sigh* And it always seems like my elves have a harder time getting the damn thing to camp. Playing a non-elf? It just runs right to camp. Playing an elf? It runs all over the area for 20 minutes before running to camp. This probably qualifies as my least favorite quest. My favorites would be Promise of Destruction, Red Water, The Knight's Tomb, Still Waters, and all of the quests in the Emerald Graves (especially Chateau d'Onterre) and Emprise de Lion.

Yeah I enjoy the Tom of Fairel quest and the clearing out of the Red temp;lar quests in the Emprise. Also fighting the dragons ar ealways fun. I als oagree about the shards having recently done that quest just finished doing the JoH ones as well. Can' tsee myself doing all that again. I may justgo back to what I do normally there and that's just pick up the easy ones and open a few of the doors just to get some of the bonuses. Yeah I quiet enjoy the Knights Tomb one. I enjoy the main quests of JoH| and Descent as wel which I consider side content given they're DLC's that aren't linked to the main plot.

Have to agree that the Golden Halla and Druffalo ones are the worst. I don't bother with Druffy. I think I did it once just to do it, but I do try to do the Halla one. I just did it a few days ago and had the Packmaster amulet on so wolves wouldn't attack, but somehow it turned hostile and my party members started attacking it. I kept trying to make them disengage or get far away from it so it would reset and not be hostile. I think I did manage to get away before somebody killed it and when I returned to the area it was at the camp.
I used to hate Chateau d'Onterre and I ignored it for most playthroughs but now I like it. I started to be a completionist and knew I had to go there to get 2 mosaic tiles. The first time I did it, I remembered feeling frustrated trying to find all the clues and those stupid undead slowing me down everywhere and vowed to never do it again. But I started doing it again,I know where all the things are so it takes much less time to do than before.
I like the astrariums and shards. I remember never bothering to get all the shards before but the bonuses and gear you get from them make a difference when you play on higher difficulties, especially handy for dragon fights. And I like to build up as much cold resistance as possible when I do Frostback Basin. Those Hakkonites can one shot you with a cold blast.

Best- crestwood helping the spirit
Least favorites but still do- finding the apostate mage in stormcoast. Could have been way better for what they put into it
Whiskey bottles-annoying when searching and I stumble on these.could have been way cooler
Honorable mention- getting people to stay still during the exhalted plains puzzle quest

Not sure if it's best or not but my favorite is the Still Ruins. Least favorite: having to give the Dalish clan weeds that are growing right next to where they are camped. Are they so downtrodden and helpless they can't walk 10 feet to the riverbank to pick their own damn weeds? Bioware really should have picked a plant that only grows in a zone far away from where they are camped.

I agree, the only thing on the Dalish list that isn't available in the area is the last one, the Great Bear hide IIRC. Oh and let's not for get Ram Meat. Go and kill your own damn rams. I kill rams on principle now because I hate them so much.
