UPDATEHere's the official word, thanks to Hrungr: Although I haven't watched the interview myself, it looks like it was answered in the interview with Jonathan Warner... Anthem Universe @anthemuniverse
Our written summary from the @gamesradar @bio_Warner Interview. anthemuniverse.com/articles/gamesradar-interview-with-jon-warner/ … If you are down and not revived by team-mates, do you miss out on end of match rewards?
- No you won’t miss out - Incentives to revive: challenge medals and achievements will help to drive this behaviour According to some recent tweets, auto-respawn is disabled during Stronghold raids. Your mates have to revive you. Without an incentive or penalty, squad mates might leave you dead just to be dicks and collect all the rewards. Of course, if rewards are shared even if you were not revived would make this all moot, but for the sake of this poll, we'll assume that rewards are not shared with players who are not revived at the time of the Stronghold victory conditions are met. This would apply to AFK and disconnected players as well. The poll doesn't say what the incentive or penalty is, feel free to suggest either or both in comments below. Just assume that the incentive or penalty isn't so big that players would try to game the system. For example, if the penalty made you drop legendary gear, some dick would purposely get himself killed over and over so a co-conspirator could scoop up your forced dropped goodies.

Neither. If a player does their best to back me up (even if they suck), I'll revive them, situation permitting (which is not a given). If they're generally an asshole, I'll leave them to die.
Kind of like what I do in Mass Effect 3's multiplayer.

Reviving another player reduces team vulnerability, so I'll revive if I can. Except for when it's dangerous to do so by risking a team wipe and team respawn. If I'm the last player standing I'll cower like a baby until I can see another player has respawned, the mission isn't failing due to my foolish bravado. These factors are sufficient without requiring additional reward or penalty. Oh, a few crumbs of XP or similar would be nice when reviving.

I voted neither.
Only thing I have to go on is 4 years of Destiny and its matchmaking when I wasn't playing with my clan. Outside of the obvious troll looking for the free ride and rewards, players do a really good job of reviving other players, even go overboard sometimes when ducking behind cover might be the better choice.

There was incentive enough in ME3MP, with the 5, 10, and LOL Revive Medals.
With the exception of Objective waves, I will do anything to get a revive; I just like doing crazy shit and using rockets and ops packs like a kamikaze with an extra life.
That said, I also have never had a problem leaving a scrub that cannot stay alive at all, to die because the price has become too high.
I do hope for some sort of similar post-game award ceremony in Anthem.
So, follow the model of the surprise success. Small incentive, no penalty.

Why would rewards not be shared for dead teammates? That's not how it worked in any of Bioware's three other titles and is an odd assumption to make. Given that it will more likely than not be the case, reviving will be a purely tactical consideration - if the ally was being a team player, they get a revive, but if they ran off like an idiot and got killed in a dangerous spot, they're staying down.

This all depends on the team you're playing with. I for one will be playing with trusted friends. Also, people have to remember when you're in strong holds team work is required to beat the boss. so i one man is down the boss will be harder, and plus your combo won't do as much damage with 3 instead of 4 players.

You don't need either in a good cooperative game.

Good. I said use incentives because I like promoting team play...especially important for those of us who play pug matches almost exclusively.

I voted "Neither".
The only game I play online and pug a lot at the moment is a little free to play shooter called Warframe, and revives are practically never a problem. Most of the time more than one team mate will rush to revive another (more players reviving the same guy speeds up the process significantly) and many people (including myself) even go out of their way to revive other people's downed pets.
I suppose we'll wait and see what kind of community Anthem will attract.
