For the last few days, there has been a perpetual "1" bookmark notification on the menu bar, even when none of my bookmarked threads have been updated. When one of them does update, the notification changes to a "2". Then I clear the one real bookmark, and the notification changes back to a "1". This happens both on my laptop and on my iPad (but not cell phone/mobile site).
This minor annoyance is deeply offensive to me. Anyone know how I can get rid of it?

Wish I could help you but I had six bookmarks notifications, went to look at them, and then I had none. So I don't get to be offended with you and I also don't know how to fix your problem.  |

I aim to please  I ran a search on this forum for "bookmark" and didn't find anything like this. Edit: Four hours later, I realized what you were actually asking.  No, I opened all of my bookmarked threads when this error first occurred just in case, and that didn't fix anything. |

Found this on the proboards forum...
"Go to edit your profile then click into the notifications tab. On that page, check the box next to the "Bookmarks" option to disable the notifications for the bookmarks. Once that's done, reload the page and then re-check the box. After the bookmark notifications have been re-enabled, see if that corrects the count."
