Should we expect anthem graphic etc in da4

Man I hope so because Anthem has some top tier visuals.

I saw some of DAI in MEA as base material with a step up. what I've seen of Anthem is stuff from MEA a step or two up.

I expect DA4 to be breathtaking

Well, except for the bad side of town in Minrathous. I want to be able to smell the blood, it's so vivid.

One thing to consider is the potential sacrifices they made to get this graphical quality. I think one of the bigger sacrifices to free up system resources was the removal of companions and all the AI required to control them in a game.

I don't really care, graphics don't mean much to me, and I would play DA4 even if it was done in a cartooney, Blizzard/Pixar style. Actually, that'd be awesome.

If we ever get a new DA game I would expect much better graphics than Anthem.

First off Anthem is an online shooter which means it should be oriented towards bringing more FPS even for people with weaker hardware. Ok, co-op shooter and not PVP, but the rules still stands, no? If I understand correctly, heavy graphics limit the FPS considerably. Since RPG games don't really need to bring you a minimum of 200+ FPS, the graphic features there should be cranked up way more. I know alot can be said about optimization, but come on...we talking Bioware here.

Second, a new DA game is 3-4 years away. The tech will be much better by then. My new rig that will probably run Anthem on Ultra (bare the bragging, please) will most likely have to be set at Medium-High for DA4.

Third - don't be fooled by anything shown so far for Anthem. I fully expect a considerable graphic downgrade in the released product. For me it's more likely that not Anthem itself, but in several years DA4 will look like the current Anthem vids.

I think any major release is aiming to max out the current generation of console hardware, its why to give players improved graphics and a hope in hell to run at 4K they had to release consoles with a bump in hardware.  In some ways its also why you don't get split-screen co-op anymore for they don't have the console power to basically run the game more then once.

Pretty sure it'll be Frostbite ...

I'd like to see swimming alongside boat travel, like tw3 had.

Surprise ! DA4 is going to be a VR game ! There will be akward moments @home when you've advanced in an in-game relationship when it's " time for the mature content ".

Either way, it will be a waste of resources.

I haven't seen a graphical improvement that made a difference to gameplay since the switch from isometric to 3D.

If the improved graphics don't change how the game plays, what are they for?

Graphics in games have reached such a high standard in the past 3 years that I really do not care about visuals all that much anymore, also differences between the engines are hard to spot. IMHO focussing hard on visuals is more and more becoming a thing of a bygone times, especially in combination with sacrificing gameplay over it.
