So i just browsed the description of mass effect annihilation after finding out its been delayed again . i noticed a description of the virus goes as much "the virus yields a terrible swelling of the brain that causes madness, hallucinations, and dreadful violence" and it jumps species after starting with the drell. and this started 30 years before arrival. so this leads to wondering what the hell is the disease? a advanced form of kelpers syndrome that has evolved? or maybe it from the reapers as we have seen a very deadly, very contagious, species jumping disease that was collector/ reaper in origins. so perhaps some one from omega got it, didnt get the cure and ran off to andromeda to only spread the hell out of the disease. Also anyone find it odd that the book is taking place 30 years before MEA? perhaps the reapers wanted to take over the ark to stop any MW species from escaping alive? my big hope that it just doesnt turn into mass effect zombies.

A terrible swelling in the brain is indeed a mass effect.

Jokes aside I'm thinking that it may have something to do with the Statius sickness that was found with the humans on Elleaden (think that's spelled right?) only it affected the other races sooner? just guessing

It's a little quest that Lexi gives you if you encounter one particularly grumpy NPC near the Paradise on Elaaden. She'll talk to you over comms and ask you to scan several scavengers in the port. After scanning a few (and one particular one), she'll develop a serum that she'll leave for you to pick up in the Paradise and ask you to administer it to one of the scavengers. Her conclusion that stasis is causing some sort of brain deterioration making them more violent. I agree that Bioware could have been foreshadowing something about the Quarian ark with that little quest.

That makes a lot of sense to me … and it's probably wrong … but the idea of foreshadowing …
Especially if you planned to do a DLC … is right up BioWare's alley … you are a person wise in the ways of science.
And OP apparently doesn't like puns … nor does OP understand the core tenets of BSN.
You must be PUNished for that insolent ignorance.
Let the spanking begin, either that or Burn the WitchTM … your call.
*just kidding OP … I think your posts are great … and whether you get spanked or not … that's your call and none of my business*
