As I was thinking of my favorites my brain equally was cataloguing my least favourites
dao area: lothering dao quest. Urn of sacred ashes. Every time I play I dread the drag of that section & as someone who’s not a maker fan it’s overt religiousity.
da2 area. Sundermount. Slog to get there and then you have to slog all the way back down. da2 quest. Best served cold. One of those quests where your previous choices should have mattered but they wanted everyone to suffer the bloodbath.
dai area. Hissing wastes. Part of the whole open world bloat. dai quest. Wicked eyes wicked hearts. I just utterly detest the design around player choice. Without prior knowledge it’s all a lottery irrelevant of your stated preference.

DAO Area: Orzammar. I love the Deep Roads portion, but hate the run-around required to finally get there. Quest: Rescue the queen - it's a set-up no matter which way you look at it.
DA2 Area: Kirkwall at night, at least until I clear out all the gangs. Sometimes I just want to go for a walk but can't because I get jumped every 2 seconds. Quest: Agree with Best Served Cold. Just once I'd like to sit down and talk with the conspirators, maybe even offer my help, but nope...gotta kill 'em all instead.
DAI Area: Exalted Plains Quest: WEWH

DAO: Area - Denerim's market - doesn't help that it's buggy as hell. Quest - Lost In Dreams - way too much backtracking and worrying whether I've got all the fonts.
DA2: Area- Sundermount - looks like Playmobil or something. Quest - Sketchy On the Details - I never remember where all the bad guys are.
DAI: Area - The Forbidden Oasis - how many deserts do we need? Quest - Doom Upon All The World - feels like finishing off an already beaten foe rather than a grand climax.

DAO: Area- The Circle. Maybe this is more of a quest, but it's so looong, and just as annoying to get through as the Fade. Quest- Urn of Sacred Ashes. All the drama to find a mythical item for one old man's life. We already have Teagan's support, let Eamon die.
DA2: Area- Sundermount probably, for reasons already mentioned. Quest- Everything involving Mother Petrice.

DAO: The Fade and the quest surrounding it, no question. I tend not to use mods, but the one exception I've made is for skipping all that nonsense.
DA2: Quest, the one where you have to save Feynriel in the Fade. Area...does that alley with the poison barrels count? Or I can say the Fade again, because I still hate that place even though not as much as in DAO. And half the time I forget to disarm my party before the betrayal, so the traitor massacres us.
DAI: Quest, WEWH. (Surprise, I actually liked the Fade stuff in this game!) I hate quests with time limits. Shout out to that stupid shard quest, because reasons. Area, Forbidden Oasis.

Origins: Area:The blighted Fade in the Circle quest. Maker help me I wish I could burn it. It’s not even just the constant backtracking, but also that fuzzy dream filter over everything that makes it obnoxious. The Deep Roads deserves honorable mention, but it has pitch perfect tone and a good disturbing payoff. Quest: The entire Circle quest. It has its moments, but this portion really feels like a drag of a dungeon crawl.
DA2: Area: The Cave. This copypasta cavern makes it difficult to immerse into a lot of quests. Quest: All That Remains. This quest should not have been railroaded to Leandra’s death. There should have been options throughout that allowed us to prevent it, even if that meant jumping through more hoops.
DAI: Area: Forbidden Oasis. Too much platforming. It really brings home why the shards are annoying. I always do it because of the currency loot and stat boosts. It’s a shame though. I think the area itself is beautiful, and I’m actually a fan of Inqusition’s desert areas. Quest: Fucking Halla wrangling. I think killing it and wearing its coat is better.

Wicked Eyes And Wicked Hearts was annoying from a gameplay perspective but it is still one of my favorite parts of the game in terms of presentation. Extremely atmospheric. Gorgeous music, my favorite piece of the soundtrack. But yeah, the gameplay makes one dread it. So that's unfortunate.
The fade in DAO was bad. But again, I liked it overall.
I don't hate any part of any DA game as much as I hate certain parts of Mass Effect like the reaper beam dodging or Marauder Shields... stuff where the devs decided they needed to implement a gickey gameplay obstacle for no reason. Adds nothing to the experience. Just plain annoying.

DA:O Place: Denerim, buggy and boring. Should have been an interesting city, but was just disappointing. Quest: Backtracking in the Fade in the Circle.
DA2 Place: Wounded Coast. Large and boring, lots of backtracking. Quest: Best served cold. There’s just something about that quest that annoys me. It feels really forced in a lot of ways.
DA:I Place: Hidden Oasis. Actually liked the aesthetics, however I HATE having to waste time figuring out how to get anywhere. Quest: All the Specialization quests.

DAO:- The Deep Roads - just too long. - A Paragon of Her Kind - I hate Branka, also I hate Broodmothers they give me nightmares. DA2:- The Gallows - I just need to be there for like 1 minute and it makes me want to kick every second Templar in the shins. - Shepherding Wolves - why am I even doing this? Ketojan dies either way. Just makes me hate the Qun even more. DAI:- this is hard, I like all DAI areas... uhm... Fallow Mire? - every freaking time you even dare to touch the water: Zombies - Champions of the Just - the quest is great, but I hate timed events with consequences. "Don't finish this in time and Sir Barris dies " Hell no, I can explore all of WEWH and still have enough time to save Celene, but COTJ just gives me anxiety.

Haha, according to me these are the best ones. (I don't know the Champion of the Just – I didn't bring myself yet to go for the Templars, but seems interesting, despite that I hate the rush – so: I got your feeling. But I strongly dislike WEWH, and Celene too, just a Gaspard, I think they deserve each other.)
I don't have problem with the Deep Roads (not even the Fade). I love, how creepy is the Paragon of Her Kind.
The Gallows feeds my hostility toward the Circle, I love it.
The Shepherding Wolves one of my favourite quest. It's about the freedom and free will. Perfect. But yes, the Qun is awful. (Fenris and Anders are perfect here.)
Fallow Mire is just perfect. Creepy and SMALL!

DAO The fade. Just too long. Ruins the circle quest for me
DA 2. The same random mansion every other quest is in.
DAI The hissing wastes. Too spread out and much of its content could have been in the Western approach instead.

Dragon Age Origins: I didn't really have a least favorite area of the game. I loved it all My least favorite quest would probably be.... hmmmm. Yeah, nah so this game is a literal top 3 game for me. Didn't give me much to complain about honestly Dragon Age Inquisition: Val Royeux. Yes, kinda cheating since it's not a questing area but it's still super underwhelming considering this is the seat of the Divine and the heart of the empire. So, so underwhelming. Wicked Eyes and Wicked Hearts is also my least favorite quest. I honestly love the idea and had a lot of fun with this quest initially but it gets to be excruciatingly drawn out. It's such a long quest that it deters further playthroughs of the game. The halla fetch quest might be worse, because it makes me want to destroy every screen in my home, but it's totally optional Didn't play DA2

I'm not a fan of destroying parts of my inventory, just because I'm out of space. I don't need to feel even more hostility towards the Templars then I already do. Don't get me wrong, I love the Fallow Mire, I just dislike that I can't loot the bodies in the water without my party going "ENEMIES!" ...guys, it's one sole ghoul, stop it.

I just want to laugh because the Hissing Wastes was one of my favorite areas in DAI. DAO: Hated the entire area with the elves and that whole quest line. Not sure why, it might be the layout. Love Orzammar. DA2: Pretty much anything Sundermount, just because of travel time. DAI: WEWH. Disappointing, because that quest could have been one of the best. They just needed to lose the timer, the halla statues and the 'you should have read the book to know what's really going on' aspect. I really like the running around talking to comps/advisors during that one though. My least favorite area is the Storm Coast, because while I like the setting there always seem to be cliffs in my way.

I just want to laugh because the Hissing Wastes was one of my favorite areas in DAI. While I don’t love the Hissing Wastes, I don’t hate it either. For once I could actually get on a mount and ride in a straight line to get to my quest marker .

Least favorite area and quests in DAO...Deep Roads I have a terrible sense of direction (which apparently extends to my game characters ) so I have to check my map every 10 seconds to see if I'm heading in the right direction
in DA2...not many areas that I hate, aside from the very repetitiveness of it all (which you know, makes sense, given the fact it's Varric telling the story to Cassandra)
in DAI...humm... any caves or underground missions (like the one with the flooded caves in Crestwood)...I've yet to play the DLC's so can't comment on those yet

DAO: Brecillian Forest. I've never been a huge fan of elves, and for a wilderness level it's awfully constrained in where you can go.
DA2: All of it.
DAI: Least favourite area is the Fallow Mire. The design leads to repetitive gameplay, and the level range is broad enough you can't just wait until you massively overpower it.
Least favourite quest is Trespasser.

DAO Least Fav area. The Fade, as a PC user I could skip it Least Fav quest. Finding Branka. There were some great things happening in the deep roads but holy shit that was a long dungeon crawl
DA2 Least Fav area. The base game areas Least Fav quest. Deep roads where I lose my sibling. Runner up is the stealth mission in the Tallis DLC
DAI The hinterlands hands down. Worst way to introduce "open world" Least fav quest. The ballroom nonsense

DAO - the fade section. Kind of brings things to a halt. Orzammar is large. I like it, but something about it really does make me love seeing the sky again when I'm all done there.
DA2 - sometimes while on the wounded coast I'll drift off a bit while navigating it. That might just be too many hours at work coming into play, but I'm always there when it happens.
DAI - hmm. I'm not sure. DAI is probably my favorite of the 3. I like all the areas. I'm trying to think of story quests... I don't know if I think any part of it drags. The wicked quest feels like a nice break from battle to me. The fade looks cool in 3. I even love the map where you have timed missions.

DA:O has got to be the Fade, both for Mage Origin and the Broken Circle as the worst area. It just looks like some kid used base game assets to make a “new zone” mod and feels super video gamey. Plus it’s repetitive and introduces a lame mechanic (Shapeshifting.... for reasons).
DAO is full of pretty lame side quests that I never do, but that is par for the course, but the quest I dislike the most has got to be the enter the wilds quest at Ostagar. That zone is huge. It really could have built atmosphere better, and the trip to Flemeths hut and back is strange. I like Ishal part though.
DA2... I dislike darktown. It just feels like it barely does what it is supposed to do, which is to show the seedy underbelly of Kirkwall. As far as quest I dislike.... merrill’s mirror. It felt kinda dropped for this big carry over from DAO, and what happened with it kind of makes no sense from what we now know about Eluvians (how a demon trapped in the physical world would use it to enter Merrill doesn’t make any sense unless its complimentary mirror was inside the statue somehow so Marethari feels like a wrench in any sort of interesting payoff).
I really don’t like the exalted plains. It is such an interesting concept, as a land that saw tradgedy and now is fighting a stalemated war.... but it just is a pain. And the soldiers saying the same thing over and over. Hate it. The quest I dislike the most is of course wicked eyes, wicked hearts.... just so predictable. It also relies on meta knowledge for the best experience which is annoying, the halla thing is frustrating, and you can totally tell Trespasser is where they used the interesting ideas they had for this quest but cut it out.

Origins: Area:The blighted Fade in the Circle quest. Maker help me I wish I could burn it. It’s not even just the constant backtracking, but also that fuzzy dream filter over everything that makes it obnoxious. Quest: The entire Circle quest. It has its moments, but this portion really feels like a drag of a dungeon crawl. 100%
- The Deep Roads - just too long. My problem was that i don't hate it. But it was to hart for me to play. I died a lot.
DA2: kirkwall as a whole. All look the same and boring.
DAI The hinterlands hands down. Worst way to introduce "open world" Least fav quest. The ballroom nonsense 100%

Least favourite mission: The Shards. Hated how the occulara had been created, really didn't want to use them but the wretched things sang when you went near them, some shards were really tricky to recover and the final room/boss battle was underwhelming. It is recorded in the Keep so I hope it was important but I doubt it.
Least favourite area: The Hissing Wastes. I enjoyed the dwarf history but the vast area was so boring to cross and it had no bearing on the main plot. Had to toss up whether to ride and risk missing companion banter or just hike across on foot and get attacked the moment the banter triggered. Also, why was the area permanent night?
