So bits and pieces yesterday that ended with me on Mykonnos so decided to start the Thaletas/Kyra quests. Had an interesting experience with a camp that needed me to destroy war supplies but there was no war supplies, so left it incomplete and went back later and it was there????? Had a funny incident with a Lynx, it went to attack me and I dodged and it went head first into a tree. Encountered another whale up close diving on a site: As well as this guy speared to a rock face: decided to just be a toruist on Mykonnos, got some Kass comments I hadn't heard Kass posing on Mykonnos Will let these two continue there romance this time.

I updated my driver maybe a week ago and AC Syndicate froze quite a few times. I assumed it was just the game because I was mainly doing DLC at that point, but maybe not. Odyssey froze twice today, briefly. Talos found me just as I finished my first cutscene with Elpenor. That "outsider" quest put me at level 5, so I equipped some of the new gear I'd just found, picked a new skill, and waited for him. Here's his corpse! Before that, I'm pretty sure I single-handedly helped spread a deadly plague through Kephallonia. I spared an infected family because I thought I'd get a quest to find a cure or something, but nope. Now I guess everyone is going to die. I suppose it's good that I'll be leaving the island soon? Because I'm an assassin now, but not an Assassin? Yeah that plague thing....... Well done with Talos, the first of many. Hey did you know with your armour can you change your equipped armour to look like any other armour you have looted? If not you just hover your mouse over the headpiece/legs etc. and right mouse click on it and it will bring up all the say headpiece items that you can change the look of to. On the normal inventory screen you'll still see the original look but there will be an eye icon on it. In case I didn't explain it well here's a link: support.ubisoft.com/en-GB/Faqs/000039631/Customising-gear-visuals/

Will let these two continue there romance this time. What is you Kassandra's outfit? Spartan Rebel outfit (with Ezio's boots), you get it from the shop using Helix Credits if you don't have any you have to buy them with real money but you can also get it if you get lucky in the Sargon's Orichalcum shop in Phokis as either a weekly option or through the lucky dip icon randomly. I don't usually buy cosmetics from the shop using Helix Credits/Real Money but I really liked it and I had some Helix Credits already but bought some more ($10 IIRC) and as the game at the time had already given me two PT's and 200hrs+ I didn't mind paying for it. Here's another pic

For now, I don't mind the look of the armors I have put on her, but it'll be just my luck to end up with something really useful, but really ugly later.

So yesterday spent the whole time on Mykonnos and Delos and the hardest part for me was not romancing Kyra, i find her to be the best romance option in the game but I always feel bad about the outcome if you do. So was hard to go to the night to remember and see Kyra with Thaletas but it was good to not have the alternative ending to. Was nice to the smuggler on Delos and got "Barney" a girlfriend who is now in the crew of The Adrestia. Freed the prisoner mentioned by Sokrates and let him live without killing any guards and for a first didn't kill The Athenian deserter and recruited him to The Adrestia, he has some good stats. Took down the fort managing not to be detected and by using assassination almost 100%, got impatient and killed the last couple with RA. Was proactive and short cut some stuff by doing it before going to Mykonnos like the destroying the supplies on Delos. Met this kid at The night to Be Remembered, can't remember if I have before, he's the kid of the rebel you rescue for Sokrates. Barney and his Gal. Carried this dead guy on the Adrestia for quite a while now. Kass doing a tourist shot, love this swords look and it looks good in combat. Random dead horse? Kyra

I ran across this yesterday. The woman was originally sitting there all curled up before Kass barged in. There ought to be a story here, but I didn't get any kind of prompt. I swear I didn't kill the guy. Kassandra left Kephallonia today to embark on an adventure of much-deserved patricide. I wonder if her mother is alive still, somewhere. Phoibe asked to come along, and I really wanted to take her so she doesn't die of that plague I set loose, but no dice. I told her that of course I'll see her again, but that was a total lie because she'll be dead next time I come around, lol I sank several ships and got two bounties for the trouble, so I guess they were merchant ships? Should I pay more attention to what I'm sinking? I paid off both bounties, then met Kassandra's adopted brother, who I wanted to punch a little bit because he got adopted while Kassandra got tossed off a cliff.

People occasionally die outside of your actions in Odyssey. Early in my new play through, a merc died on the road ahead of Kass, might’ve been a lynx or something else and they struck another soldier which means that soldier then attack them. Kass looted the body and walked away with some new gear.

Kass looted the body and walked away with some new gear. Ships are confusing at the start but the sails tell the story, Blue is Athens, Red is Sparta and the black ones are pirates. You'll get a bounty for sinking Athenian or Spartan ships and any of the smaller Merchant ships who all have a death wish. Money is tight early on so try not to pay it off, its easy but you can look at the map and find the bounty sponsor and go kill them to get rid of it or try and and go somewhere else and hope it expires. Another tip, tell me to shut up if I am being a pain in the butt. But seriously invest when you can in upgrading arrow mastery so you can get Ghost Arrows of Artemis. You can shoot them through walls etc. so you can go to camps and kill bounty sponsors from outside them in cover or kill leaders from rooftops, like literally right above them and through the roof etc. without taking on all the guards etc. As DragonKingReborn said you'll come across dead people killed by wild life etc. all the time. It can be annoying going to hand in a quest only to have a Wolf kill the person you were going to to complete the quest!!!!! Last warning beware the Boars, oh and the Lynx.

A couple of merchant ships may have had a regrettable encounter with the Andrestia in the early going in my PT as well. I think Barnabas does say something if you sink one... And yeah, Ghost Arrows are fantastic, though it'll probably take a while to get. Also great for targets in caves and underground. Have Ikaros mark them, and just shoot through the ground to get them.

His comments get old when its a bounty you are doing. It was my first naval bounty so I didn't think too much of it, but now I do a lot less naval content in the game unless its one of the ore daily/weekly quests for I hate the naval aspect of the game with a passion.

Yeah Barnabas yells at you about shooting them (which I did early) but I was more referring to the idiots that go hey look there's The Adrestia and it's fighting a cultist ship and 4 other Pirate ships lets sail into the middle of them, sure there are some fish to ctach there!!!! Damn have never thought of that for killing those bandits in the cave, have had that twice in the last two days on Delos. Not like I need to loot them, it's getting annoying having to allocate time to dismantle gear every day.

So yesterday found myself in Achaia to turn in the quest for Demokritis The Dunce Conundrum. Did that and was hoping I could not agree to go with him to read his poetry to his unrequited love but you have no choice. So decided to race ahead and try and one shot multi shot the bandits but alas she dies anyway . Then just cleared sites around there including a fort and killed a cultist. Had cleared half of the fort and was following a guard to assassinate him but he managed to see me through the eyes in the back of his head and through a wall and turned into a full on conquest battle with merc's and all!!!! Made my way across to Korinthia clearing places and to visit the armoured bird to finish the Prince of Persia quest and then went and handed it in. Not a pain in the butt at all! I appreciate the gameplay tips. I'll look out for that ability. It's probably one of the hidden ones toward the top of the tree. I've got the bottom two rows unlocked right now, though I've been mostly choosing assassin and warrior abilities. ----------- I spent the evening helping the Spartans take control of Megaris. I messed up the first fort pretty bad and had to go in a few times to finish destroying Athenian supplies, with reinforcements called twice. I finally figured out that if I hid right outside the walls near the door, I could just wait for the reinforcements to leave. They only stuck around for a few minutes. Then, it was on to kill Hyrkanos, who I was able to stealth-kill after getting rid of all his dudes. Unlike my first attempt at stealth-killing a mercenary The Athenian leader of Megaris put up literally no resistance at all. He was only level 7. I suppose that's by design? It's fine, though. An easy kill is relaxing sometimes. Before reporting back on my success, I happened upon the trouble-maker, Odessa. She had attack chickens. Why did she have attack chickens? She joined the crew, and I upgraded the Adrestia so I could have two lieutenants. After defeating the Athenians in battle, Kassandra learned that her father isn't her bio father. She left him alive, although I assume I'm going to be lying about that. Then it's off to find mom and get some answers. Edit: I kept playing Kass did indeed lie to Elpenor, who summoned two guys with big shields to get rid of her. I need to find him, somehow, but took a detour to help a pirate find her missing crew and lover, who turned out to be dead at the bottom of the bay. She joined my crew now. I was thinking I'd keep Kassandra single, but if Gelon is a love interest, maybe I'll go for her. We'll see.

It helps if you focus on getting the gear, weapon and stealth upgrades as soon as you can to make yourself a bit more resilient. It's good to try where you can on focusing on 3 or 4 Melee abilities you use the ost to try and get them to a higher level if that works for you. To start with I just focused on Heroic Strike, Rush Assassination, Shield Breaker, Ring of Chaos and Second Wind. Once you start killing cultists and upgrading your spear you'll get Level 3 for your abilities and it makes a BIG difference to the damage. Yeah it's not clear where to go to find Elpenor by design for your first PT. You need to go see the Pythia at the Temple of Apollo which Barnabas recommends and that also will put you on the trail to Eplenor unless you stumble across him accidentally. It will also put you on the path to upgrading your spear. I assume you know but weakening an area by killing the relevant soldiers and destroying war supplied weakens the leader and that sometimes leaves them alone and vulnerable without their guards. Chickens and Roosters are a scourge early on, you just have to accidentally walk into them and they'll attack you. When the game released people were posting videos of being killed by Roosters!!!!! Not sure if I mentioned but the main map icons to focus on besides the main quest ones in your journal are the black and gold exclamation marks as they often progress other story arcs and sometimes lead to cultists. Damn Roosters:

It seemed appropriate to ride the Lava Bull here but I said turn right and the stupid thing went straight with the following result: Mounts and ledges... it's like they're all half-lemming. On a related note, apparently the mounts can swim (with you on it presumably) in Valhalla.

Well that will be useful, especially considering in Odyssey they can't even ride through a foot of water!!!!! Can't wait to see Eivor doing a raid astride hi/her horse as it leaps out of the surf!!!!!

Not much going on this morning, so puttered around a little more, and found a remote spot to release the lion (before he gets killed). Also picked up the daily ori, and figured it was about time to change up Kass' look. Edit: I've been playing with the hotfix driver and so far, so good....
