due to that I am on Windows 10 and I want to do modding with Kotor 1, Would it be a good idea to get GOG version of Kotor 1

My experiences with any game release before Half-Life 2, you are better off with the GoG version for Valve doesn't make sure the older games work unlike GoG. I have a bunch of old games on my Steam account that are unplayable because Valve just put the game up for sale without making sure it worked on modern platforms. Heck I have had better luck with older games on Origin then Steam.

Now I mainly purchase games through GoG unless it's a Steam exclusive like AC: Odyssey. |

I always forget about UPlay. But since I own almost every AC game ever made on Steam. I will buy Odyssey through it. And yes it still uses UPlay even if you purchased through Steam. |
