High: Got some nice UUG games with Sonashii and The Biotic Trebuchet (Thanks for playing guys!). Low: When we finally got a full team of BSN-ers with Alfonsedode my game crashed. Had to restart lolorigin and after that got RL call so I could not continue. High: Got another round of nice UUG games with larsdt (Thanks for the invite!GGs!) and MPApr2012 (Finally we got to play together!GGs!). Low: Unfortunately after the third game the lag became too much for MPApr, so he had to quit... High: Met an excellent PUG, Soap_Tastes_OK, rather small CP, but highly recommended. The way he/she played (perfect distance from Scions, biotic and tech booms, excellent shot and even answered melees!) makes me think it's probably an alternate ID of a BSN-er... All in all a god day to play the game... Thanks for the games Doc and for accepting the FR It was good fun. Having to drop off after was definitely a low though.
edit: now with the video
Second your opinion re Soap, a competent player indeed. Have them to thank for a few revives as I started playing the alternate reality teleportation game. Although I can't really complain even one of the worse off rubberbanding bouts caught me conveniently within confines of our Wave 6 hack so I did not need to do anything. So that also goes as high I guess Thank you guys for making sure thay in the end my DDoSed GT managed to moonwalk into the extraction hehe
larsdt and me regrouped shortly after for a few more matches, luckily the lag level subsided... somewhat... relatively speaking.... kinda.... ish....
Anyways, we had Obsidian Gryphon joining as a for a quick Hazard Glacier game. They left right after prolly cause we (well at least I was) so cobra-happy and also mercilessly nuked wave 10 targets.
Then in the next game we had JiM for a short while as we pulled London Rippaz combo, saw them disconnecting just as some rogue Brute was charging to maul them which was another low. Picked up a few competent pugs from there on, games went reasonably smooth and quick. Wrapped up with a game with 3 Asari (and one Juggs) squashing the bugs on Noveria. edit: two more videos... turns out it was some Banshee wanting to hug JiM's Justicar
All in all, not a bad day at all overall
Inosha T'Rynn , I see FateNeverEnds already covered the pertinent points re Valkyrie specs. I just had a quick peek at your N7HQ to see what gear you have to help you in your V solo goal. And yeah again i'd second the suggestion to take speed and expose for the AF and Warp respectively when you get yourself some respec cards. Anyways, of what you got i'd probably gone for either Piranha or Eviscerator that is if you're comfortable with CQC and have her boom-booms all synergizing nicely. Other than that, i'd suggest the Locust if you'd rather keep a healthy distance for now. Also, give Reapers a shot, may be a bit easier then Carebears. There's no stabbie grills or goons to chase you about. And in V's case the AF offers you a bit more of a safety net - no need to worry about the swarmers and it also stops husks approaching as well as prevent them humping your girl. Comes quite handy if you're to pull the devices for the objectives too. So the only thing to worry is the good ol screamers, just some patience and keep your distance there, all you need to remember when she's glowing that's when she's grabby (there's more nuances to that but that should suffice for now)
And speaking of the gear, it's an unrewarding exercise to maintain and advance the manifest off the solo attempts at least at the early stages. There's a couple of LFG (lookign for group) threads stickied above. Also crashsuit maintained BSN members DB as well iirc. And also feel free to add me in Origin if you like, i'll be happy to try and help you get some credits. My curry skills are nothing fancy but eh there's no harm in trying right. And I can always pull one of the alts to fluff about on lower difficulties if need be.

Anyways, we had Obsidian Gryphon joining as a for a quick Hazard Glacier game. They left right after prolly cause we (well at least I was) so cobra-happy and also mercilessly nuked wave 10 targets. No, I always go to the store after every match and it's my habit to not stay with the same players. If I end up with the same group again, it's always chance. Btw, I don't have the chat program so I can't answer your greetings. Just FYI. * I had a plat match very much earlier on my jug. There were two other jugs and another player who dropped out after finishing disable device #4. All was going well until wave 10, when escort ball disappeared. There was no point staying in the match so I left. Several minutes later, I tried to find another plat match and found one hosted by one of the players in the earlier plat match. It was the same map, reactor. Since I was on my jug, the host stayed near so I was close enough to rez him when he went down now and then. There were only two of us throughout though a 3rd kept dropping in and out. I don't know why. Maybe he was experiencing lag or something but still wanted in on the game. Nevertheless, he vanished after wave 7. A new one came in late wave 8 and vanished when wave 9 appeared; his dance card was signed by a banshee. Very fast I might add. Wave 10, it was escort ball. Luckily for us, there was no glitch. At wave 11, yet another 3rd player dropped in. I watched him hopped and ran frantically to the other side of the reactor. But by then, the host and I were moving to the LZ. He made a circle and joined us at the LZ as the last few seconds counted down. Team extract.

What's been happening with the PUGs lately? They are supposed to get curried so I can get my e-peen high score, not hold their own on gold. Can't rely on anything these days... Thanks to docsteely , JiM (too brief ) and Obsidian Gryphon for joining up. Hat's off to MPApr2012 for spitting in the eye of that lag by using some vulnerable kits (great performances with both the Asari Vanguard and Valkyrie).

Not true.Several characters could be tanks.Kroguard, Scumguard or Juggernaut, they all can be tanks, well played of course. P.S. tanks can be damagers too.I absolutely agree with Muah on that. From my personal experience, I can tell that Batarian Brawler can survive almost everything when playing right. That was my point but I'll try to elaborate: On bronze you can just charge onto a spawn without any regard for your positioning and team support and still survive. If you apply that same tactic on platinum, you won't make it past wave 1 even with a Reegar and Cyclonic IV.Welp, you should try that tactic with Brawler, you will be surprised. When I play that kit on platinum, with full team, I usually go nuts and do exactly that. True, I only use Reegar for soloing and messing up with Terror (since he apparently hates it - yeah, riiight), but if you use something like Graal, you are pretty much invincible. Cooldowns are reasonably fast, you have a weapon that staggers enemies, you have Blade Armor etc. etc. If you know when to charge certain enemies, you can't go wrong with this character. Especially if you play on a map that has some steep stairs, so you also don't have to worry about Banshees and Crabs. I've said it many times, and I'll say it again - Scums are love, Scums are life. High: Got some nice UUG games with Sonashii and The Biotic Trebuchet (Thanks for playing guys!). Low: When we finally got a full team of BSN-ers with Alfonsedode my game crashed. Had to restart lolorigin and after that got RL call so I could not continue. Don't worry Doc, you didn't miss much. We were wiped on Condor/Collectors combo, as Bixo bailed, Alfonse suffered from lag and I lost many gels/ops packs during reviving teammates. But it was a mission successful High: It's my personal high. After that unfortunate game, I teamed up with vastator . I managed to keep him on a diet, as I delivered all 6 pizzas to the destination. At least 3 times I stole it from him during delivery. Volus is a one, greedy bastard, especially with Adrenaline Mod Future High: I'm going to get so drunk tonight. I invited over some friends and it will be great. So if I accidentally log in to Origin, pls ignore me. I won't be able to play PS. Also I noticed that there's a nice conversation about Valkyrie. Well, she's one of my favourites characters in MP. I always had a soft spot for her. Whenever I go on a date with her, she insists to bring a Claymore with her. I tried to convince her to use something smaller, and more handy, but with no result. I think she likes the feeling of holding something big in her hands Also I so got used to playing that combo, that I wouldn't be able to find my rythm with a different weapon. As they say - put a Claymore on her and you can't get wrong with it. My usual build: CLICKYou can change many things in that build. You can use some Incendiary ammo, for maximum cheese, you can switch Shotgun Amp for Geth Scanner, for more vision. You can slap some Structural Ergonomics, so your powers would recharge quicker etc. etc. I use her as a weapon kit. It works so great with AF and Warp. Pretty much you go to the enemy, Claymore to da face then Warp the shit outta them if it's still standing. Mooks usualy give up after first shot. Brutes, Scions needs a Warp and a bit of a dancing around them, with additional bullets from High Lord. Banshees and Crabs take a little bit of work, but it's very fun to dance with them too. The most time takes to bring down Atlases, coz they have ridiculous amount of shields. But they are slow, so you just need to pay attention of what's surrounding you.

Yep, I agree with what you say about recent PUGs. Earlier today, I fancied hosting a Cerb Gold game on Glacier so that I could give my slow-coach, melee-tastic Geth Juggernaut some exercise. Never intended to play more than one match. Three PUGs (all Europeans, I think) joined the lobby and we killed the first game and then stuck together for a follow-up, successful U/U/G (which gave us Jade/Geth). One of the guys asked for a switch-up to U/U/P, and we extracted in a couple of games (one under in 22 mins, which seemed pretty smooth) on that too. All-in-all, most enjoyable and gratifying to find such capable PUG-players out and about. One chap in particular (an Italian judging by his accent), who played a Hurricane-equipped TSol in all four games, proved pretty hard to keep up with - but I managed, just .

Thanks for the tips on the Valkyrie. I have 5 unspent skills that I am debating on what to use them on. Opened a few more packs today, and to my surprise I got a fairly decent pistol and a shotgun. I tried a few matches with her with the shotgun, and I like, but I will definitely need to find a respec token somewhere to work on weapon weight and re-allocate some skills. I'm still leaning toward an assault rifle on her, and I think that's just more me used to playing with them as opposed to shotguns. Pistol definitely love. I tend to lean toward pistoleer in Wyatt Earp FemShep I have going on in SP. Maybe I can get a few costume packs for her too. All the costume packs I got were for Asari Adept and Infiltrator. At least they're asari? xD
*Dances a number with Valkyrie*

High: took the pheonix vanguard into a match on hazard white/collectors to see if I could still play that character. Surprisingly did fairly well (enough to top score even though it was just silver) Anyways, the real high point of said match was about 10 seconds left to extraction, me and one other player are taking cover behind the parked spacecraft at the LZ when I notice a possessed a-bomb running towards us. Instinctively, I lash it and it gets pulled straight towards us but slowly slides under the craft and stops right under our feet. I couldn't pass this opportunity so I smashed it good causing it to blow up and take both of us out right when the timer stops. Best part is thanks to the xbone's capture feature, I GOT THE WHOLE THING ON VIDEO!! I miss abombing Low: the abombing didn't take out the other players like I had hoped. edit: not sure how to share xbox clips on this forum. Any tips would be appreciated

Adrenaline mods and slick wall bouncing is the best bet for the fat Turians against Banshees. Phantoms if they get close are my nemesis with them. I don't think I've put a cyclonic on a fatso in a long time, even on platinum. Turians are great and one of the reasons is that they are fat. With AM they are less fat, which is a bad thing(if you don't believe me,ask TTT ).I use CM on them every time. They murder everything fast and i don't need to run.I have to admit there are situation where you must run,but since they are fat, they can deal with every situation. To each their own, but I prefer my fat Turians to be methed out. I also like it so I can move faster if I get pizza objectives since us console plebs can't run with the pizza very easily.

Low: Only played two games since Wednesday night.
High: One of them was all Krogan vs Cerb on Glacier. Melee KroSent (me), KroSol, Kroguard, Shaman. Good times, lots of pimpslaps for Phantoms and Nemesis and between waves many headbutts were had. 10/10 would play again.

High: I've been sick all week and haven't had the time/energy for the video games, which is a grave mistake because I started to suffer from acute turian withdrawl again. However, I played a game with the soldier two days ago and tried a game with the Sentinel earlier today, though I had to quit. Got this nice turian cap though: I feel much better Low: ?

On AF go for radius, movement speed and drain. Warp for biotic booms and armor weakening, Tech Armor for damage reduction and nothing else. You won't be detonating it. On the passives go for weight capacity and power damage. I run her with a Talon and play aggressively like I would play the Fury, but tankier =) The Raider SG or the Carnifex HP work just as fine. I usually go for Damage Taken on AF, but speed is certainly a good choice. And I go for full weapon damage in passives, even if I usually use Raider with Heavy Barrel on her. Found out that longer cooldown on Warp are actually beneficial to me, since I can reload cancel more easily and more often and since most of her damage comes from weapons, that's always a plus. You pretty much can't spec her wrong, unless you make a mistake and want to make her a Fury. In which case she'll be just passable. She is a weapon platform, one of the best out there. She can be a passable adept as well, but that's not her real point. Personally, I choose to play to her strengths, but like I said, personal preference. Save

Still no luck on the respect token or any costume packs. I like Inosha as it is: She's very boom boom with her biotics to the point where I could hug her. Too bad she's not a very huggable person in fanfiction. Until I get a respect token, I will either up her weapon damage a bit, or improve her armor I think.
I like the Eviscerator on her and I got an M-11 Suppressor. I don't mind melee, either. I know dad said that Asari aren't very useful when brute force is needed, but she does ok when she has to deliver a quick punch to the face. I took the time to play a few solo matches to get used to using these, and I think I have a good idea of how I am going to play her. Quick kills so far and if I have the right ammo mod on her, it's even better. Cryo rounds or incendiary are my favorite so far.

She can be a passable adept as well, but that's not her real point. Personally, I choose to play to her strengths, but like I said, personal preference. SaveDunno. I really suck with the Fury due to her squishiness, coupled with the fact that AF isn't always reliable when playing off-host. We spend most of our time together either teleporting to undesired places or just plain floor-facing. However I can't pass up AF's priming capabilities so I usually use light but hard-hitting weapons on the Valkyrie to dish out even more damage inbetween BEs. iirc warp keeps objectives vulnerable to extra weapon damage even after it's been detonated so my usual approach is going in for a BE then shooting till I can set off a new one. Even gold mugs won't last past the initial BE and a couple of Talon shots to the face. And armored enemies will melt just as fast. I mean what's the point in having AF at all if your cooldowns won't let you detonate BEs in quick succession? Taking the weapon bonuses sure will make her a good weapon platform but AF forces you to play her in a CQC style, and when you're surrounded by mugs the closest you'll get to have a crowd control ability with her is setting off a BE. I see your point, though. I might be wrong but I like the asari dodge way better than the Fury's and Tech armor's DR is the perfect addition to turn her into what I think the Fury should have been to begin with. TL;DR: she's a better Fury than the Fury. Still I will use one of those re-spec cards and see what I've been missing out on.

Low: Started an U/U/G lobby earlier today and it seemingly took forever for someone else to join. High: Duo-tastic - a player called K3ptn_Toastbrot (a BSN-er?) and I started the game (drew London/Collecturds) and successfully extracted (after some commotion during W6 devices, which was settled by a healthy dose of nukes from each of us). After the match, I shot K3ptn_Toastbrot a friend request, which has yet to be accepted . ,,

Good job, good job. Even the shuttle pilot seems impressed: "superwork down there!"

Been using AF to give me escape time when running from room to room to scatter enemies from objectives when I'm soloing. It's also nice to inflict damage via Death From 1000 Cuts when I'm running through the map. I don't know if I want to change AF from extra damage. Been liking it with melee attacks when I get into trouble with mobs, and it works to help detect an enemy that's hiding behind something: All of a sudden, there's a trail of biotic energy followed by writhing and screaming. Maybe when I get comfortable with Bronze matches, I'll start changing her up.
I sort of wish that Inosha would let out a sinister laugh when she gets someone caught in an AF and/or uses heavy melee. Maybe a celebratory butt wiggle when pistol whipping a goon.
Started a human infiltrator build. Really dig her. Right now, I have a Widow on her and the M-11 Suppressor, because M-11 Suppressor. Accuracy on that is drooltastic. Specced up grenades because I love grenades, and weapon damage/headshot damage.

Hoo-boy! 1 count = 1 match/lobby LOW: Laggy hosts. ~5 counts LOW: Hella laggy hosts. ~3 counts LOW: Modded lobby for minimum power recharge. 2 counts (1 match, 1 lobby with same host that I left immediately) LOW: Let's shoot only the enemy the Krogan is trying to melee, even when there's three other enemies nearby. 1 count, somehow LOW: Idiot missiles. 2 counts LOW: Open mic hosts. 2 counts LOW: IAI#### waste of time. 1 count LOW: Platinum join 1: Wave 10 GIP. LOW: Platinum join 2: Wave 8 GIP all enemies invisible. LOW: Platinum join 3: Effectively, citsam_banshee_wail_a_D_Int.afc not found. HIGH: I reported IAI through Origin after that. lol HIGH: cryosferon located. This was the only decent match, but still the host was a hella laggy one at times. HIGH: Melee Krogan Adept brought me from ~0 melee points to ~870K in 205 waves. This was my fourth day with the class. That about covers it.

Oh yeah, you definitely got it lol. There was some of that going on earlier in the same place when Nat (formerly of this parish), DistigousForest and myself were playing Plat with another of their friends (I assume). Much hilarity - I think everybody got everybody else at some stage, but the biggest laugh was after Forest got me, just after I'd got the other two. Good times. Probably only my fourth Plat Collectors game ever, so I hadn't a clue about spawn budgets, or much else tbh, but it was what we call fierce craic altogether. Also, Nat's still complaining about Andromeda so that was pretty good fun to listen to as well.

It was good to hear him yelling, "get the fuck off the goddamn walls!" again. Much fun was had ggs.
