High: a praetorian flies by one of entrances to the central hut on Ghost. Looks in and sees Arktinen and me ready to warp-throw combo it to death. [Nope] Turns away and floats towards two other players in the far end of the map.

Looong overdue posts for the past several weeks, so here goes (I blame the painstakingly cumbersome picture adding system): HIGHS: Plenty, and then some. After hearing that I'm a few upgrades short of gathering all my guns, docsteely suggested some Platinum games that I hadn't done for about a year, and even back then very rarely. A nice reintroduction, glad that I ventured there again. The first one was painful as all hell, can't remember the last time I've died that much in one game. In fact, don't think I have died that much in a game. My medic vibes will be the death of me. Plat on Goddess vs Geth, with Sonashii , docsteely and schafhran. . But it started to go better. Continuing with docsteely and Schafhran to Jade, got joined by TheNightSlasher . For my part, at least, didn't imagine Jade could get this easy. Getting into my stride, played two trios the same night later, some hours later (as some of us are night owls) with docsteely and NinjaSuperiority , first on Hydra vs. Cerbs. And the 2nd one on Ghost Hazard vs. Reapers - with my recently re-discovered joy of biotics (more of that later) Thanks so much, guys, this was simply awesome! Continuing in the next post, for the benefit of those who struggle scrolling past many pics in one post.

HIGHS, continued:Looking again at the time stamps on my screenshot folder, I stand corrected. The cherry goes to eng59land who dragged me to Platinum first this time around. There I was thinking it was another Gold match that we had been doing a bunch of in a row, only realizing the plantinumness as we rolled in. Had a good team, my formerly-pug friend vio-io, and Rumanthil whom I also keep seeing around a lot. Ouch! That's got to hurt. And I'm not talking about teammate being down. So, after those earlier trios (in earlier post), a few days later, even dared to duo Plat with NinjaSuperiority . Everything nicely under control the whole match. My GiGi (the Geth Infiltrator) sports a max-length cloak, so the division of me doing lots of devices and Ninja doing the killing, was ideal. Most proud of escaping a phantom stab by a perfectly timed ops pack, for once, and another 2 phantoms by sliding back down on a ladder to safety. As it happens, I missed the extraction by 1 second because thanks to the omnibutton, Gigi went and stubbornly took cover on the short staircase right next to the EZ, and the timer decided I was not in the zone after stumbling there at the last second. Yep, he did most of the work, but I'm very happy with the results!

^I was glad to be of help, Arktinen . I did not forget that you and your lovely husband were the first to pop my cherry in team games (back on PS3) ... And as you'll quickly learn, Geth are the most difficult (read horrible) faction on platinum , so anytime you play against them expect to die a lot. For the rest I hope you had as much fun as I had and hope to repeat soon .

Thanks, doc, for breaking up the mass-posting of Tales by Arktinen. That said, I'll keep on going! Ha. HIGHS: the abundance of good games continueth
Back to the rediscovered fun of combos with teammates. So, I wanted to start using more varied kits again, to the relief of some people wanting to wean me off the "horrible, slow rustbucket" that I much preferred... After a lot of less ideal and painful tries in PUGland, since I've been PUGing Gold a lot lately, I ran into a bunch of great teammates from mid-January onwards. (And as it turned out, some are actually BSNers. Figures.) Anyway, great progress for me, as I vividly remember not wanting to PUG Gold that much even last year. Like these guys, pic from exactly mid-January: Ended up having so much fun on Dagger with the surprise of someone (GeometryOfChance, nick) doing lots of biotic combos, spontaneously, that it sparked my joy of biotics again, instead of just mostly relying on my lone self. And this guy (vio-io) for tech stuff whom I dragged into some games with these familiar faces: fraggle and Balbock, after I PUGed into their lobby just earlier. Had not Turianed for quite a while, was about time. Vio-io got there later midgame. And that leads me to my next post.

Cont'd.. An absolutely unapologetic amount of game pics! HIGHS: Making Maps Fun Again.
or: The Joy of Biotics. The boombastic bounty. The cornucopia of combos. PUGed into Qraizer on Glacier - Making Glacier hazard fun again and into Barcode-N7S on Giant - Making dark stormy Giant fun again Visited Vancouver, among several other maps with eng59land - making this map vs Geth fun again And started doing matches with these guys in February, after running into nick again. Here on Ghost hazard vs. Cerberus (Cerbs just populate the damn Ghost all the time!) Making the rainy Ghost and Cerbs fun again: Making Hydra fun again: Making Goddess fun again. Ok, I kind of like Goddess anyway, but was still more fun with our biotic team! Volus is just taking a little rest over there, it seems. Hey! Yay! Making White fun again. Wait, wut? I love White. But still - with this kind of a team, even White just gets sweeter! An awesome action pic of the team: docsteely , nick (mid-air), axen0, and my recent discovery of a fun kit to play, the human adept. Yeah, guys, I'm serious; I've overlooked the humans because they were so painful for me to play alone with pugs. So no thundadump invites And there's more, as I go through the folder of screenshots soon. But there you go; that's my progress to having more fun outside a handful of kits I've regularly played earlier. BOOM!!

Highs: Biotic Combos Or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the BoomStarting out as the usual mish-mash of bio and tech, but it all worked well together, as the other players rolled in to join me and nick . Also, I remember playing with qquizz here before, as well - nice teammate. Didn't take ingame shots of the first 2 matches with the same half-random team, but we were on Ghost vs Cerbs first, then Giant Haz vs Collerctors. Then arrived on Reactor to make Reactor... well, as fun as it always is. Have to share this shot - look at that graceful but active arabes que!
[Didn't take result snapshot it seems, as sometimes just forget, but not that important anyway, just for records and intrigue and/if anyone is curious about those anyway.] Next one up, the Screenshots thread's Blue Spice Girls + an infiltrator (can't remember which) Making Glacier Fun Again. This is how I felt about it, as the match went on: ...For a good reason: teamwork showing here, too. Both of the 2 other players stayed for a 4th game, and so by that match, we finally got our full foursome boomteam together! Thusly, making White even more boombastic again! Awesomely even all around *** Right after this awesome run, got other 2 guys roll in who were capable (axen0 and BoomTheory_N7), and again both stayed for 2 more matches. Making Dagger Haz - yet again - Fun Again! vs. Cerbs (And I blame nick for this, he is clearly cursed with Dagger. My bane seems to be Ghost.) Me testing my boom theory on BoomTheory This doubles as "Cerberus are extra lazy". To perfectly follow our "randomization" of maps the match system offers, the Hazy Dagger match was followed with no other, but the Rainy Ghost. I take it as to wash off all that sand! We seem to go from Dagger, to Ghost, to Ghost again, to Dagger, to Dagger again, in all variants... and did I mention Dagger again? Better not leave out Ghost, either. But all this is already making me laugh, every time we land on either of these maps. Although, that rain hurts, and I still wimp out a bit and won't run amok in the acid rain as much as I perhaps should, with this character especially. But I'm getting there. Here's how my wim--... I mean; cautious, sane playstyle manifests in the results a little. *** OK, one more in this post, due to meeting the same players. *** On another day sometime past week, happened to see BoomTheory in my lobby again, and we all were dropped on Hydra. Ugh. More often than not, I am not that keen on landing on Hydra, having had lots of nightmare games over there (and usually groan a short, grumpy "urgh" about it upon landing). So, in this case, the naming of this series, and Making Hydra Fun Again really, truly applies! In short, for this one and all above, too: thanks, nick . Thanks extended to BoomTheory and Samaritan, where ever they are. Also recommended as teammates.

More Highs incoming since nobody else only Andy is posting. (He finished his post before I could get all these added down here.) I'll still sacrifice myself for the well-being of the thread and the activation of the forum. A bit over a week ago, also had some Plat games with docsteely again; one on Ghost vs Reapers that we started as a duo, and I can even say I curried him for one wave - erm, for like the last minute or two. Saw andy_3_913 online and invited him, a good decision. Got some pug who left shortly, and then got ninjajoined by one player from my FL Frankie1978HUN - who probably wasn't anticipating Plat, but glad they joined. This match was the one where the Prime dispatched his girlfriend to take me down while I was doing a device, but they failed (in Screenshots thread). Docsteely doing more important stuff here than just greeting: In the next match, we got accompanied by xelander (whom I've pugged into perhaps only once on Gold sometime earlier) and Ddakorn, whom I've PUGged into several times. Was worried here for a second that Docsteely was contemplating jumping off the edge upon our landing in London. Glory here, and also did White vs Geth with the same team. Next, we got this new (or alt acct?) Volus joining us. Admittedly, I was a teensy bit worried about how he'd do, but for no reason. Iirc he did just fine in the Reactor vs. ? (I seem to have no pics of this game), but remember that it went nicely, even for us newer ones. The poor volus suffered a bit more in the following match on Ghost Haz vs. Geth, though. But he extracted, unlike poor docsteely that we didn't have enough time to go and help up just before our shuttle arrived. My asari looks gloomily demonic as if in a comic book frame, seeing the poor doc wither away. Thanks, guys! This helped me along nicely because the following day, I finally maxed my manifest. Just 6 hours shy of 1,000 hours played (way too many on lower difficulties, in retrospect.) So that means... humm... that I now have all the lvl 10 guns, including the final addition of Spitfire X. Nice, but I see this more as just a better selection of weapons, not the end-all of MP goals. I guess my real goal is to finish all separate challenges at least once. At some point. *Looking at you, Talon the Taxing*

You got me, Arktinen ... London always instills some sort of depression into me, as it is one of the worst maps for a solo ('cuz objectives are among the worst). I also hope you finally understand why I am called the King of Devices (or King of Excellent Objectives 'cuz if it's not devices it's targets)...

Aw crap... My ass looks like a giant bug. Now I can't unsee that Aww.. sorry to hear about your ass looking like a giant bug. Mine looks more like a lovely smooth peach, or nectarine . Ok ok.. in all seriousness (if there is any, considering this topic?) - I've always thought that my Salarian's ass looks like a tiny frog face. Not helped by the fact that my Salarians' suits are often green-and-white. So, a little frog or gekko face is right there, every time. Just one of those things you cannot unsee. Like this: the console at Goddess looks like an upturned nose, with nostrils and all! I once pointed this out to a friend who'd been playing a long time, standing right there and shooting at the nostrils - they had never noticed it before that. You're welcome.

Highs: Testing the effect of the asari on a drellSetting: Reactor vs. Reapers Participants: 3 asari Mission: 1) Elicit a reaction from a drell, 2) Kill reapers on the side Initial preparation for the task at hand. Several waves and attempts later... Mission briefing: During the battle, the team lost count of the number of asarigasms required, but a solid estimate is between 22 to 29 separate exclamations. Considering the response eventually drawn out, we deem this Mission Successful .

While my volus was getting a nap after Banshee hug some fellow geth was clearly on steroids.
Thanks for the games, was nice to finally play with my fellow countryman. So, this is how it went for me, and what it lead to. I took my QUINevere with her trusty Widow, even when I saw everyone else choosing Javelin. And with the Javelin, I have a love-hate relationship; would be perfect for this kind of a map, but also it makes me a bit nervous on Platinum to use it. Even the Volus antsu was using the Jav! (iirc) And despite eng59land's fancy-hyper-footwork looking a bit worrying in the video, this pic sums it all up: And this. So, a few days ago, I decided to do exactly that - practise more Javelin use on Gold! How hard can it be, right? Right! Oh yeah, that's the stuff! Now I got this.

U forgot swarmers are your primary targets with jav ... Very true. However, I thought I left that aim-ass (abbreviated on purpose) back to PS3 - there it was an everyday thing, with every target, every sniper: Game: "I halp! Here's a swarmer!" Didn't think it would transfer to PC that well.

U forgot swarmers are your primary targets with jav ... Swarmers are indeed the true enemy. When using the Javelin, however, I prefer to conserve my ammo and use missiles to clear them out, especially when confronted by more than two. Them's serious business and deserve a serious response.

Yesterday afternoon a Krogan Sentinel Pug joined the Lobby. The Pug, who joined 2nd, switched to a Krogan Sentinel. fraggle and I switched to Krogan Sentinels. Some Reapers on Thessia: "Ohh Fff......!!!" HIGH: Instant 4 Krogan Headbutt circle and that was just the first. Some more would follow, even around Banshees, who kinda fell down and dissolved after a while... Oh well. The whole game was filled with "Mraaaaawwwrr!", "FOR TUCHANKA!" and a "HA HA, They are dead!" choir at the end. We continued with a themed Geth game removing some Bugs from Jade. Themed games, teamwork and good Pugs are always a High. Low: Origin working even less than intended in the evening... Low: Getting some of the more annoying things today in the first games... High: Decided to vent a bit and let the Claymore H-Sols loose. Giant Hazard. fraggle: "Oh no... Collectors..." Me: "Still better than Geth. Just think of them as the aphids, that sit on your rose right now." fraggle runs off and annihilates the first spawn, while hitting headshot after headshot... By this point Giggles well and truly enjoyed the game, although she wondered a bit how this happened... My guess is she really likes the rose. Thanks for the great games and the fun!

Low: DispenserOfLove joined in my lobby. High: We were still in the lobby --> unanimously 3 kickvotes after I marked the first one. Go dispense somewhere else. High: Making Condor Fun Again! With st.janeshepard, MixelPixer and nick And again Occasionally less fun for 13Bees ..sorry Bees, this just looked nice! (And they got revived, of course) *** And again - This time, me getting to know my asariguard on Gold (previously only played her on lolsilver) I think I've found a new fun kit! With nick, some pug and A_Damn_Pug! Shoutout to A Damn nice Pug, keep running into them; great games, good teammate, always happy to join in team themes. (Also suspecting like someone here on BSN earlier perhaps last year-ish, someone's alt?) Definitely. *** And again. This one was absolutely amazing fun! Who knew?! Well, you guys probably did, but I had not realized this earlier. Several asariguard games in a row, and many of them landing on Condor. Hm, I actually don't hate this map anymore! Closeup view, just after charging a primed Pretorian! I may have gone a bittle nuts here... I make this fiery redhead thing look good. Note also the killfeed! Lol! We had even more BioticExplosions than just those showing in the kill definitions. Also hi to wintermuteee - great games with you, if ever reading this! Wintermuteee and BioticExplosion stayed for several games My vanguard beauty Making even London Fun Again! (Mmm, I know, right!)
*** So we continued to Giant - still assguarding here. And in all simplicity, dragoons deserve a rocket to the face, no matter what the timer says! Because fuck dragoons.
