High: Got to play more than 2 games of gold because my right wrist didn't hurt as much.
High: Decided to try out the full defensive biotic sphere on the AJA. At first I thought I was gonna hate this spec. But surprisingly I kinda like it. It's a different way to play the AJA being more gun oriented and being a damage sponge when you put the biotic sphere on top of being in cover for lots of DR, and you can shoot out of cover for longer periods and even give the biotic sphere to other people in cover.
It's kinda like playing support which I'm used to doing on the volus mercenary sentinel except biotic sphere doesn't restore shields unfortunately, but it is very useful for hack objectives esp for the really stupidly difficult ones on london and also benefits other people who have existing DR/shield regen delay bonuses. It also makes it a little bit easier to survive when getting hit by a lot of attacks like a banshee warp flying in, followed by like a atlas rocket and couple of ravager cannon blasts in the background.

High: So, how do you call a day, when you get to play with HamleticTortoise (Great games HT!), doing some of his challenges, with frankiscrank , an UUG game, playing along his excellent newbies team (Nice discovery Frank! imo they'll soon be ready for plat) and with @thetechnoturian (Always nice to play some turians!), first some PUGing (is digastricus a BSN-er? excellent player), then some challenges? You guessed it: Low: ???

I killed a Krogan today using my Kro-sent with a possessed abomination for refusing to headbutt. Stupid pyjack. I guess his clan was destroyed before he learned what was expected of him.

It was a quiet weekend for me, so I managed to clock up something hideous like 14+hours of ME3MP... I think I might be hooked again! High: As someone who doesn't even have all rare weapons unlocked, it felt like it was raining black cards, I received 11 Ultra-rares giving me lots more toys to play with! Black-Widow and Volus Engineer getting the biggest workouts. Low: I miss having weapon mods unlocked! The AP mods are virtually worthless until Rank III giving very little Armor negation. I feel the card unlock system has a low priority on weapon mods. High: I have no choice but to PUG (No friends!), and in general the quality of groups was good, with the stand outs being Vio-io and his friend Roselily (or something similar), they bumped it up to Platinum and it was amazing to watch how much damage flamer can do on the Geth Trooper. Also Solaris444 (I think? I'm bad at remembering tags okay! EDIT, matched with him again, remember his name this time!) turned Gold into a spectator sport with his GI Venom Shottie + Adrenaline booster, to the point I was actually kinda bored! Low: Attempting to carry an N7-20 (of course soldier) through a Gold match, landed Reapers London and got the worst designed hack location ever. I burned Gel's but couldn't carry the team at that spot. Also a few other really low effort PUG's from to time. Low: Landed in a lobby with two people talking, they switched map settings a few time, then vote kicked me I was Vorcha Soldier with Acolyte, I know flamer can be obnoxious, but just ask me to change kit! High: Decided on a whim to have a stab at [VorSol - CSMG I - Silver - Giant - Rippahs - No consumables] solo as my first solo on PC, used two gels both times from getting bursted by packs of Cannibals! I was being a bit gung-ho so totally my fault! But otherwise it felt like a walk in the park which was a nice start. Over all I'm really enjoying playing on PC for all the obvious reasons, one thing I'm still learning is that I cannot sprint past packs like I used to, I also played Cerberus on what I'm sure was an FPS uncapped host, they were all firing AI guided homing rounds it seemed. Okay, yeah I'm definitely hooked again!

Low: N6.2 is a pain in my ass, so I went to PUGland to let off some steam and not get too annoyed at soloing.
High: Finally got some plat games in for the first time in a long time and they were all good. First two games were cheesey with a Paladin, AIU, Juggy, and me as GE. Glass shattering everywhere. Second was same team, but biotic death squad: Fury, Justicar, Juggy, me as Drelldept. No leechers or missile glitchers for once Last two games were a little hairier, but no worries as I went PPR TGI and Typhoon Destroyer. IRL shit occurred and I had to leave the third match wave 2, sorry.

I've gone through therapy to forget about that day my poor cryo soldriess got grabbed 3 times! And now you do this? Seeing this makes me remember horrifying details. I was simply an innocent girl from the alliance, and i liked making swarmer killstreaks with my nades. One day, my nade bag got empty. So I decided to reach the nade basket, in order to refill my bag. But when i was bowing in order to reach those beautiful shiny nades with my innocent hand i left my back exposed and... and...and... NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

High: Some great gold games with some decent pugs!
Low: Dropped into a gold lobby with one guy. Set my character and tried to get him to start a duo, and see if anyone joins. Well, he switched it to Plat when I wasn't paying attention... then he promptly quit when the game started. I figured I could just solo until someone pops in. Don't want to waste consumables...
Boy was I surprised on wave 3 when some Geth showed up to the Reaper party! I was wondering why my shields were dropping so quick! Doh!
Long story short... I made it through wave 9 but got devices on 10. End of story.

High: I felt like playing the Volus Protector Vanguard for a while. I don't know why I don't play him more often, I probably thought he was too host reliant to be even reliable off host. I was wrong actually, it wasn't so bad. I kinda want to main this kit, but for now I'm just testing different builds for the VPV to see what works best for me. I'm currently using a no passive 66606 build for the volus vanguard.
Low: Dying so much and being disappointed with my poor decisions when playing the VPV.
High: Got an almost deathless run with the VPV so there's some progress at least.
To be honest out of all the Volus kits I've played the VPV is probably the most challenging out of them all esp if you're crazy like me to try make him work off host. Although the VMS is ez mode, and with the VPV I have to actually work my ass off because he isn't as ez mode but he does a lot more weapon damage.

I built my VV with no fitness. It's not worth the points. Now that I think about it, I don't spec into fitness on any Volus.

I think the only times I spec for fitness on a volus is if I don't care about the extra ranks of certain powers like proximity past rank 5 or combat drone past rank 5. Except in the case of the VV I'm just theorycrafting at the moment I might go back to no fitness or stick with no passives or do a mix in between and while I'm at it, I'm also trying different a and b power evos.

High: Unlocked the Quarian Male Infiltrator, this kit never clicked for me on X360 for some reason, I think I was too reluctant to use Grenades or played on bad maps (looking at you Condor!), anyway I thought I'd give it a spin with PC mouse aiming/turning. Landed with | Ghost | Rippahs | Gold. Proceeded to run around the map like a headless chicken spamming grenades and finished up well into first place and with a revive medal to boot (just so my team mates cannot say I was only score whoring)! I'm baffled as to why I never clicked with this kit before, it's hilariously powerful.
High: Decided to give the BatGuard a turn in the sun, gave him the Raider as I hadn't used it and remembered one of the few advantages of playing from NZ and experiencing high latency in 95% of hosts... THREE shot Raider! Combine this with medigel reload cancel and you've got a party!
Low: Latency and playing BatGuard, would often spam charge only to have it not trigger until 3 seconds or so had passed, my team had to revive me frequently in the early rounds until I backed off the throttle a little.

I've become a big fan of Shotgun MQI, particularly Claymore and Wraith. Disruptor Wraith + Arc Grenades have a lot of synergy. Either stagger with grenade and clean up, or shoot-prime and reload cancel with grenade, tech burst all the things. There's enough potency in this combo to overcome on-host Phantroll BS. Took me a long time to give up the Javelin and then the Claymore on him, but it was totally worth it. I suppose you could run Power Mag Talon, too, that would probably work really well.

^ That's how I run my MQI, with Wraith, or occasionally Claymoar. And often with that PMag Talon too, because I'm a weirdo who likes Talon on him (and my Wraith is still low level). And I consider grenades candy.

Those setups do indeed sound good, my limitations being I don't have the Wraith, Talon or the Power Amp pistol attachment unlocked yet! I was being a gouda-master and running the Harrier as it syncs up well with visiting ammo boxes every 30 seconds. I have the Claymore so I might give that a go for some more aggressive play style.

High: Made a new Volus Adept build and wrecked shop with it. Low: Got frustrated with the volus vanguard I don't think I'll main him yet. High: Gave this AIU lancer guy (And hosts) who I've known for a while a run for 1st place with the new VA build. Low: Blew the lead when I was like 7k ahead of the AIU lancer guy because I got sync killed, I was so upset and I hate myself for that mistake High: Still happy the build worked out as well it did. High: Got 239k with the VA when the game gave me host and then played a UUG game on firebase jade with geth. Recently decided to try out the volus adept and with my trusty arc pistol that I've used so many times in the past on the VA. I made a new build that was inspired because I was looking at a reddit thread for the volus vanguard and he had a power centric build, and had a different spec on biotic orbs and was using a, light weapon. I thought to myself "Could I do something similar to that but with the VA?" so I reset my powers on the VA and decided to try out this test build I made and to my surprise it works very well. The cooldown on biotic orbs isn't that bad imo, and thinking about it now this builds functions very similar to that of the geth juggernaut siege pulse build where you prime an enemy with incendiary and blow them up with siege pulse except in the case of the VA you're blowing up enemies with biotic orbs plus you give them a debuff while you're at it to make sure whatever target you shoot dies faster. Plus I haven't seen any other VA player that I know to my knowledge or have seen play him that way. It's pretty much playing the siege pulse build but replacing it with a volus and biotic orbs.

This is how I play him, but with only 3 slots in stasis, 5 slots in Fitness. I find I only really used stasis on phantoms and I only ever needed to lock one down at a time. I find that I don't miss the larger biotic explosions either. My favorite Volus out of the bunch, but I do have a soft spot for the VMS.

I can tell why, the VA is capable of doing a lot of damage on it's own when you play him this way, and you don't need a reegar. After playing around with this build he's like up there with my VMS. At least now I have an alternative when I could use something other than my VMS and use the VA and just spam biotic orbs.

@bestvolussupportau Just tried out that spec and it's hella fun, fire explosions for days! One thing I noticed with NZ latency is you need to wait for about half a second before throwing the orb or you won't get the fire explosion.
Just top scored a Gold Pug with that build, to be fair the other players were pretty average as I'm not an exception player by any means.
