Played on ps3 with Arkhne and Arktinen . I hadn't logged into ps3 in like a month but got the urge today and who better to ease me into action than these two? We also had rossini along for a few platinum games later on in the day which were all super easy and fun, though I got a headache near the end of the last game (Ghost/Reapers) that was the only downside. Totally normal side effect after so much activity though, right? :amirite: You host next time though, I feel like my PS3 is getting old and doesn't provide optimal hosting for Platinum any more. It was probably the screaming and intense concentration that brought on the headache. In short, it was great to have you again, and we'll happily do it some more

Totally normal side effect after so much activity though, right? :amirite: Mmmm the action. :dirty: After first rolling in the sandstorm as a volus threesome and then thrashing around in the soggy Ghost, I felt so dirty I had to take a shower before we got back for more action. Playing with you guys made Platinum feel like a stroll in the park bronze for me - no wonder you got a headache and hubby was falling asleep during the last game of the night. Also showcased my scrubbiness after no Plat for months, but I don't care, had so much fun! Clearly I just must play more to gitgud. You host next time though, I feel like my PS3 is getting old and doesn't provide optimal hosting for Platinum any more. Low: had to stop playing to get some sleep.

Using a Jug and having a 230k gold/reapers game is pretty satisfying. I need to respec my Jugger, hiding behind a shield and spamming melee bores me to death! I ran him with disruptor rounds + projectile weapon and used siege pulse to set off explosions and did pretty well, but actually need to change his spec to match this setup. I'm yet to PUG with a Jugger who wasn't a melee tank, I want someone to show me the potential. If you want to friend me up some time, I'll play a Jug game with you. I follow the general Siege Pulse spam build/playstyle, but I skip passives and take Adas w/ Incendiary.

I used to only drop the turret for a quick shield bump as I was moving, and barely used the shield except maybe for an occasional primer. Is it worth it to max the shield and the turret, and not take the weapon bonuses in the passives? I guess not a big deal if you're rocking an Adas... I'm always considering resetting characters... I should give him another run and see.

Siege Pulse recharges every 6.5 seconds or some such so I'm firing it all match long. I like the big shield for when I need to block a lane of fire, and the AoE shock is good for mooks. The turret is spammable and I can detonate with Siege Pulse while the turret is flaming. Adas has good synergy with Incendiary because the bonus to shields and barriers lets me detonate on heath and armor faster.

You can laugh at my scrubby skills and when I get sync killed as this tends to happen to me with my tunnel vision approach to charging in head first. I learned the other day that Scions have a sync kill! I legit never knew this

I somehow remembered lol) with a Incindicane. Worked rather well. 180k in a Gold/Geth/Jade match well. I'll definitely give the Adas a go next time I play. It is a shield killer, and that should make things more amusing. Thanks for the insight!

GPS also works really well on pulse spammer builds when hosting . Plus the lore. Very important! hehe ftfy i see your point. i have to admit i can't remember what's it like to run GPS off host... i tkae kinda same story as the other projectiles although its target tracking should help somewhat similar to Adas? ah well with all this talk guess time to take juggs out for some fresh air tonight
UPDATE: so... a quick pugland foray before dinner, ended up in a mix of russian and european lobbies, as expected some atrocious lag to go with it. well, not even some some, more like a plenty of it and all the way through truth be told. yeah, handling GPS is indeed somewht awkward in those conditions but in its defence we're talking juggie outrunnning its own pulses and gps charges kind of lag.
UPDATE: to keep in line with the thread's spirit
Low: bailed out of at least four lobbies in a row, ample servings of lag and more lag aint that fun Nice surprise: bumped briefly into Inussuk68 and their signature Valkyrie in one of those lobbies i stopped by, glad to see they're still active High: some nice boerewors with oven baked potatoes on the side for dinner

I normally go in dubious plat lobbies(extremely low N7 and AP numbers) with a no shield, incendiary reegar healing turret build and like a friend put it: "Reegar the fuck out of everything" with geth scanner to feed my desire for finding and killing quicker + PPR as a backup ranged weapon.

These aren't MP highlights but came from the SP and people don't seem to mind it when I posted my engineer adventures ft the bonus power Dominate so here it goes. I decided to try out Slam on my engineer, an underrated bonus power that hardly anyone uses High: I did a triple combo with Slam on a poor defenceless cerberus trooper , first I had EDI use incinerate, then I cast slam, then cast overload and then have Liara cast warp. So if everything works as planned you should get in this following order a fire explosion after detonating incinerate with overload followed by a tech burst after detonating overload with warp and then a biotic explosion after slam detonates Liara's warp. High: Had a cerberus trooper fall from great heights after thinking he was safe in the cerberus shuttle, I used slam and then he phased through the cerberus shuttle and bouncing like more than 50ft in the air it was crazy and hilarious. For real though out of all the bonus power that I initially thought was the worst bonus power turned out be a lot better and not as bad as people made it out to be. Slam is freakishly good because even if the enemy somehow survives your power combos with slam they'll be stunned for 5 seconds and then you can finish off enemies with your gun or do another power combo. Also before I forget you can lift multiple enemies with slam so if you have a radius spec'd on incinerate and you can get multiple fire explosions detonated by slam, this also works with cryo blast with radius and overload with extra chains. And you can do different variations of power combos with slam like: Slam + incinerate + overload Slam + overload + incinerate Cryo blast + slam + overload Incinerate + slam + overload + warp Cryo blast + slam + overload + warp (Haven't been able to pull this one off but I'm pretty sure it could work if my cryo blast was like rank 1 so the cryo explosion wouldn't do so much damage) Slam + overload + warp Slam + incinerate + warp Slam + warp (Obvious one) Slam + incinerate Slam + cryo blast Slam + overload Overload + slam + incinerate (For shielded red health targets) Overload + slam + warp (Same purpose as above) Slam is amazing overall it can lift multiple red health enemies, stun them in the process if they survive your power combo and the best part is that slam has a really short CD I have mine around 1 second. I don't normally do the 4 part combos because those are just overkill I usually stick with slam + incinerate or slam + incinerate + overload/warp.

High: More team plat matches to be had. One guy who PUGs, usually bringing his Jug, is always good to game with since they usually end in extraction. Also had someone who I haven't played with in a while join, so that was nice to get a few games in with him. Too bad my mic doesn't work anymore
Low: More plat solos failed wave 9 or 10, I'll get another eventually...More fails of N6.2, 5 WS seems to be difficult for me for whatever reason. Also, less time for playing lately, but that's not terrible because it keeps the game fresh and I get less annoyed when I do get time to play.

High: A great 3 streak on top with some good carries.
Low: Decided to try and do alittle soloing and the wired xbox one controller started totally spazzing out. A button and right stick die following the left sticking only in the left direction. Needless to to say the rest of the game ended badly.

Low: failed on London/Reapers after a wave 3 hack ate up most our equipment. Made it to wave 10, but the escort walked us through the middle of the map and we were all out of gels by then. Also, I could only play 2 games cuz I'm sick as a dog and couldn't keep food down

Some more highlights from my SP adventures. High: I decided to do a headshot centric build for my infiltrator Shepard with the arc pistol and using the pistol cranial mod. High: The build is so good against anybody that's not a boss tier enemy. High: Landed a headshot on a cerberus trooper before he could escape by ascending to a cerberus shuttle I got the idea from a fextralife thread where they were discussing the usage of the headshot pistol mod. One guy said it's amazing on the eagle and using the turian soldier along with it (Which is really good btw I've actually tried it), I decided to use the arc pistol and I'm pretty sure a charged headshot does more than 10k damage because I've got so much bonus headshot damage, from armax armor equipment, pistol mod, disruptor ammo rank 5 , infiltrator passive at rank 6, and marksman from rank 5 and it gets even better with tactical cloak and more weapon damage from intel bonuses. I want to try to it with stasis though with vulnerability instead of marksman, I think it might be better but i'm not sure yet, have to get stasis on my infiltrator shepard. EDIT: I got stasis and I like it better for me personally, if I still retained my godly arc pistol accuracy from like 2 years ago I would've gone with marksman, but my aim right now with the arc pistol is just total garbage , I got to build it up again because I used to spam arc pistol so much to the point I used almost all my 255 pistol rail amp IIIs on the arc pistol.

High: After one quick game with vastator (Thanks for the invite!), which turned out to be Derperus on Condor (love the planet, HATE the map ) got to play once more the Krodept with muahmuah (Thanks Doc!) for a nice challenge from AW_FC's For Tuchanka. And in the afternoon I got into some nice Puggerland Gold adventures with Sonashii (Big Thanks for the FUN games!) in which I met the two extremes: several of the totally inept which nuke everything (I had a fit of Rage-nuking when one AIU/Reegar started nuking on extraction, again: Sorry, Sona!) and one excellent pug, which I highly recommend, VortigonCleric or something like that. So the show still goes on! Low: None, especially after getting those nukes out of my system...

So the show still goes on! Low: None, especially after getting those nukes out of my system... Haha I remember that moment! That was unexpected At the beginning of the extraction I was standing in my usual spot, relaxed and calm. Then I heard that a lot of nukes went off.. Is it the end of the world? - I thought? But to be honest it was pug's fault. I saw that got spawn right behind him so (s)he probably wanted to save his bottom (or scorewhore - very possible because during hacks (s)he was scorewhoring/kiting enemies at the opposite side of the map haha). As for our random guy Vortigon, I was positively surprised. He stayed for a solid couple of games, joined our Asarigasm, participated in objectives and showed all good habits Not all hope for pugs is lost as it turns out. Confession Time: During the beginning of our trip through Puggerlands, random N7 Destroyer joined our lobby (PPR with Hawk Missiles build). I just finished my first game with my Destroyer but immediately switched back to him, coz I wanted to crash his build like a bug compare my build (Typhoon X AP IV + Frags) with his (PPR X with Warp IV), for science of course. I admit I was scorewhoring competing through entire match And I'm glad to say I won haha. But in my defence I didn't use a single missile and I participated in all objectives Good times Doc! Thank you.
