I have a few questions that I’ve yet to find answers for and searched the forums for threads referring to them and nothing. 1. Is guard gained on katari bugged sometimes? I seem to randomly not gain any guard whatsoever sometimes. 2. Is there a certain point where anyone can remember where keeping up barrier on AW wasn’t a matter of life and death with a pact belt/con promos? 3. Is the PI amulet a 1% drop on NM/HB/chests? I will probably think of more when I’m actually playing and not sitting down to dinner.

1. Yes. It happened sometimes with silent sister too.
2. No. But for a very Long time it was good for me to use the ability ring for Barriere.
3. i think it is under 1%.

1. Yes. It happened sometimes with silent sister too. It happens when you are level 1 usually, never happened to me on higher levels. 2. Is there a certain point where anyone can remember where keeping up barrier on AW wasn’t a matter of life and death with a pact belt/con promos? It also depends on your play style, if you want to face tank everything you must rely on your barrier a lot. (that doesn't apply to Frank anymore )

(that doesn't apply to Frank anymore ) Ive never noticed if it was just at level 1 or not, going to have to keep an eye out for that. Barrier is mostly for ranged attacks, that’s about the only thing that kills me because the damage I’m taking > damage I’m doing. Started using hakkon staff, might have to go back to HoP for a more consistent stream of damage going out to keep up barrier.

With Combat Clarity and Fade Shield passives, any damage from weapon/skills ought to give you barrier. However, it is still only 30% of damage dealt. Hakkon Staff is good and usually suited to go along with the Storm Pact Belt unless your health is less than a few bars

Also, Haakkon weapons shines when your cunning is at 200 so you can crit all the time. HoP is better for non critters because of faster animations and Magic bonus.

So the last time I used HoP my willpower was around the 40s. Just switched back to it (at 70 now) and was pleasantly surprised with the damage it was doing. No big crits like I’d get from hakkons, but the steady stream of damage was just enough... ranged still kills me quick though! Gotta work on cunning and stop just doing 3 will and 2 con at a time. 😐

Keeps you mobile, good range and close quarters defence for barrier. Try that. But yeah, youll wanna raise that cunning, at least a little.

The only reason I keep spirit blade is because of the NM runs I do when I’m 15~16 and run into lightning resistant mobs... I died because I wasn’t able to do enough dmg to keep up a shield. I keep hoping for blind luck and a PI amulet though when I finish a NM run though!

Is there anyone on PS4 that carries/willing to help with NM dragons runs, maybe 1-2 a night if not more, depending on time. I can take care of myself for the most part, but would ideally like to go in at lvl if I happen to promote. Why doesn’t anyone use cool beats on Virtuoso? I ALMOST (died to boss and 3 adds on zone 5) solo’d a perilous game with just cool beats alone and it was amazing. And then I went into a routine game with ice pact belt and fucked up a dragon.

On weapons that have “10% chance to inflict ____ at xx% weapon power”, are those affected by ability rings? More specifically, Isana’s song with a chain lightning ring. I’m very torn between Isana’s and HoP on AW, so I tend to use Isana’s for perilous and HoP for NM/HB (But I may as well go naked into HB because I’m gonna wind up on the floor anyways. )

If you have that ability they should work, abilities on weapons gain upgrade bonuses if you have upgraded ability, so weapon procs should work the same. Walking Fortress, for example, will generate guard when it procs if you have upgraded skill on your Lego.

Ok, here's a question. Which potions should you bring to boss fights? I know for Venatori it's fire, Qunari, it's spirit, but what about the other bosses?

The potions I take on all my chars are: Healing (self) Healing Mist (others) Rock Armor (self for collecting supplies) Mighty Offense Tonic (for the boss)

I have those on some (warriors), but on others I bring fire or spirit ones along, electricity or frost, not so much, unless I know we're headed to FC and the type of dragon. On rogues I sometimes have the healing mist or grenades. It's so hard to pick and choose, and you never know what you're gonna face and I like to be somewhat prepared.

Electrical Resistance Tonic for all my Warriors, Keeper, Arcane Warrior and Silent Sister : NM Venatori faction. There's always tons of Elec mage vints. Really useful for Keeper and AW. Also for close combat kits since it's pretty hard to avoid all those elec traps/trails. Spirit Resistance Tonic for all my Warriors and Silent Sister: Enemy Saarebas. those Spirit dmg trap is so powerful and hard to avoid step on it. Also this tonic can be usuful against Demon faction for close combat warriors. Jar of Bees: You know. for fun. Also it's pretty goooooood. Pitch Grenade: If you throw this where Qunari boss is, . Throw this right before his landing. So sweeeet.

Since resistsnce potions are AoE, coordinte with your teammates; many times I saw two pugs drink same potion, which is a waste. You will care less about them as you raise your stats and eventually, you will ditch them. Healing Mist and Regeneration potions will become redundant when you raise your constitution. Mighty Offense Tonic, Bees and Magic potion for mages shine more and more with raised willpower.

Is not getting stamina back suddenly a bug? If you were using any rogue kit with stealth, sometimes your stamina stuck and stay still. undo stealth and stealth again, that's the fix in my case.
