I'm actually not a fan of New Vegas. 3 is my favourite. 4 is alright. I love the new features they included.

Fallout 3's my favourite. It's just got lots of memorable stuff in it - Megaton, Rivet City, Tranquillity Lane. Scary stuff too - just thinking about Andale or Vault 87 still makes my skin crawl, not to mention that abandoned school and the Super Duper Mart.
And then there's Moira Brown and her Wasteland Survival Guide...
I do like New Vegas and 4, but 3 had me really hooked.

And then there's Moira Brown and her Wasteland Survival Guide... After completing the guide (with good information/survival tips), it felt so rewarding to hear Three Dog's glowing endorsement or run across Wastelanders who's lives were improved by the book, then leave them awestruck by telling them that you helped write it.
I really wish we'd gotten more moments like that in FO4 and New Vegas, that gave the sense that the protagonist was becoming something of a local legend (for good or bad) in the region. Three Dog's hilarious running commentary on the LW's various misadventures were one of the highlights of FO3, which I don't think the later games have managed to replicate as well.

After going back to it from FO4 and 76 I never realized how much I needed the ability to sprint in a game before.

I replayed it a couple of years ago without the DLC when I had Gamepass. It recently went on sale for about 3$ so I bought it. Then... I very smartly waited until there was a sale on the DLC (happened 3 weeks later, I was so proud of myself) and snapped them up for cheap, too. I'm replaying it with the DLC.
It's the one I played the least of the three that count, but I loved it. Well, maybe not the first 6 months when it ran like shit, but they eventually patched most of that. :p
