Seriously, why does nobody use a mic in this game? It's 2016 and playing a tech savy space game.

Because there is zero explanation given in the game that it actually has a build-in VoiP. Not even a crappy loading tip. I started MEMP a couple of weeks ago, and I could not believe it did not have a text  chat typing interface. Felt like a very rude person not saying Hi and TY for the prty & other common courtesy stuff.

Then someone spoke up in the lobby literally three days ago. It took quite a bit of searching the net to find which bind was for the click-to-talk option. I wish they have provided a brief tutorial for the MP mode, seeing it was a new thing in ME3. After all, there are three tactical game-play tutorials teaching you to aim your gun and shoot, they could have got the whole "gently move your left hand towards Tab key on your keyboard, and press on it. While the button remains pressed, commence communication."

I am still a bit scared to use it, but I will try to say Hi next time I load in.  Overall though, I am very shy of VoiPs, because of my accent and high voice. And, tbh, I guess, I would rather not know just how much everyone hates me, since, well, people tend to get angry a lot in group content.
