Seriously, why does nobody use a mic in this game? It's 2016 and playing a tech savy space game.

Actually, I lied. I do enjoy turning on my mic and using Archer sound boards...specially when there's a " team captain " or someone as equally annoying on the mic. www.thesoundarchive.com/archer.asp

No, super glue won't work on mine because it's completely cracked all around in multiple places, with only the wiring holding it together. Here's a talented artistic sketch of what it looks like;

Red - 2 socks tied together to provide elasticity so it sits very snug on my head
Blue - Glad Saram Wrap holding all the cracks together
Orange - Electrical Tape pinning socks in a particular place + holding Saram together so it doesn't unravel in another place.

There are also 4 Canadian dimes (two on each side) used as braces under the Saram Wrap too.

i remember i was playing with this guy and he was using a juggernaut. then when he started talking, he had some kinda voice distortion tool that gang members who want to remain anonymous use in gang documentaries. guy really sounded like a geth, it was awesome.

I am always happy to hear people talking, it adds to fun usually. But I hate talking on mic myself, I don´t even use it with my friends, much to their endless frustration
But guys are correct, the voice chat isn´t something special in ME, it´s either too quiet or too distored to understand clearly. Just last time there was this weird guy, who kept asking us what do we think about cows(?)/karls? kahls? Who knows...

You might not now, but once upon a time those friends you (as in the 'you BSN people' ) play with now were also pugs.

Probably. I'm generally not interested in conversing with the people I'm gaming with, which probably loosely fits that definition, but the vast majority of reasons have nothing to do with shyness.

Regardless, I'm not at a point where using a mic is going to make much strategic difference in PuGs. I've long ago adapted to a teamwork-to-solo style which reflects the makeup/playstyle of the pugs I end up with.

To use a microphone on XBox One I'd have to buy a replacement, most of which are either very expensive or terrible. I'm not likely to bother unless I end up playing another MP game like ME 3 extensively (which is rare for me.)

I use my mic, but since it is on Teamspeak and I don't play random games you probably won't hear me.

Why don't I use my mic? Because I play on PC. Nothing creates more existential dread than screaming into the empty void.
