I thought this up in my usual "cant sleep, thinking bout mah SciFi" moments, so let me know if you think it would make a good game or not.
Waking up on the Ark is the same, but the Scourge hit harder than it does, disabling the ODSY drive and removing Hyperion's FTL capability, clipping her wings. You are now more or less stranded in the Eriksson system. DadRyder still assembles the team for the scouting of Habitat 7, which this time instead of an outright nightmare, the planet is breathable, but suffers its dramatic weather due to the Vault, but still its livable. With the Ark unable to make a practical rendevous with Nexus Station, the ship takes up orbit around Habitat 7 and the crew decides to start setting up an Outpost on the surface while repairs on the Arks drive go underway.
The Hyperion and Habitat 7 now become your player Hubs and the goal of the game is to make contact with Nexus Station while aiding in the construction of Habitat 7's colony, Hyperion's repairs, unraveling the Remnant technology, and discovering the intentions of the Khett.
The game comes to a conclusion with you arriving at the Nexus only to find it in a desperate last stand with Khett boarders. The final battle has the Pathfinder team help resecure the station and finally make contact with the rest of the initiative who are in tears that you exist. They explain the last year+ and the game ends with you declaring to bring the scattered Initiative back together. The camera then pans out from the station's bridge, flying across space into eventually a massive Khett fleet, focusing into the Archon in his chamber staring at a report of the failed Nexus attempt, turns, and walks out as we see his grimace.
This idea basically takes the storyline of the game and streeeeeeetches it out, making finding the Nexus the main mission and what comes after with the Angara, settling worlds, fighting Khett, and learning about the Jardann saved for additional games. When i play Andromeda i feel like we get A LOT done over a single game. The story might have been better if our efforts in the cluster took more time.

So now people are starting to effectively dream up ways to ask for a remake/redo of Andromeda... Why does this fan base insist of dragging the devs back to just redo everything they've done in the past. Can't we just let the past rest in the past and "bodlly go" forward for a change?

One of the, uh, "failures" of the last few Bioware games (Inquisition and Andromeda) is that they try storywise to do too much in too short a story time - with the game mechanics part of the game included it stretches out to weeks of course. A less epic plot would help flesh out a more intimate, grounded, complete, and satisfying story.
