Elemental Ammos in single player

I've never done any math or detailed observation, but I've found them all to be effective in some situations and not in others.  I really notice Cora using her cryo ammo when I've given it to her.  I haven't noticed as big an effect with Drack's incendiary ammo, but I still give it to him during most of my runs.  I think it's Vetra who has disruptor ammo.  I can't say I've noticed a whole lot of difference with her... mostly because her turbo charge kicks in making a comparison difficult.

But does anyone know if the ammos interfere with debuffs like they do in multiplayer? I would guess they must share some code, but it would be a very Bioware thing to do to have the ammos work properly in single player, but they not use that code in MP just to troll us, LOL.
