1.) MOAR DWARVES, dammit! 2.) Crazy how many human women have been available for straight guys. But it's interesting that you don't see many straight guys asking for non-humans (I guess you do have requests for elves, but not the other species), so maybe that's not a bad thing? 3.) F/F romances are SO crazy skewed. You get a lady rogue. And you get a lady rogue. And you get a lady rogue! Yikes. Y'all need a lady warrior BADLY. And y'all need anything other than a human too. 4.) M/M is surprisingly well balanced. But that won't stop me from wanting my dwarf warrior guy! Ha! Yeah, given how the "weirdest" female LIs for straight guys for a long time were Tali and Liara - and quarians are described as having human hair, and 99% of Tali fanart just has her looking like a human with purple eyes, and asari are basically blue human women - I think there are just a loooot of guys out there who aren't comfortable veering far off "conventionally attractive". People even said Merrill looked like an alien or a twelve-year-old, so maybe that's why there are so many humans for straight guys..? That or the devs THINK that's the case. Maybe if they threw a qunari or dwarf in there they'd be pleasantly surprised. Harding and Dagna and Sigrun are all pretty popular, after all... Surplus of F/F rogues and the boatload of warriors in the F/M category is definitely notable. 😅 I hope you get that dwarf warrior guy. 😁 I don't know if you were on OG-BSN, but the het guys there couldn't even handle Morrigan's chin. When the teaser trailer for Inquisition dropped, their faces sloughed clean off their skulls like it was the Ark of the Covenant.

When the teaser trailer for Inquisition dropped, their faces sloughed clean off their skulls like it was the Ark of the Covenant. I lurked, and I remember the comments about how manly Morrigan's face was (and also how Leliana was a crazy preachy nun who wanted to collect the PC's eyelashes in a jar.... which, that last part is true but I don't think it was supposed to be as threatening as all that LOL). edit: You probably meant the Inquisition trailer, oops. Yeah I remember that too. Devs did end up changing her design a little. I remember similar discussions about Isabela's face and chin.

Maybe BSN skews that way, but the whole conversation around the Shape of Water did make it look like straight women and LGBT people are way more likely to see monsters as attractive, approachable, and relatable, rather than just villainous and evil. Which I'm okay with, talking about werewolves, mermaids, DA2 Qunari, Turians, and so on is much more fun than "I want my option to be more conventionally attractive."

Shape of Water did make it look like straight women I openly admit to watching that movie because the "monster" looked like Thane and I was into that smooth lizard man like nobody's business. Possibly the most alien I've gone in a bioware game, as Iron Bull never attracted me for a variety of reasons.

Other than wearing a tight ass suit, and having a stereotypical dead beat father? And Jacob plays a baby daddy stereotype and run off? Yeah, he's well represented. Everyone wear tight suits in mass effect. Stereotypes are not exactly a rare sight among other romance options. See Dorian for example. Let's not deflect the fact that he is a stereotype. And why do you even bring up Dorian and he has nothing to do with Jacob?

Because Dorian is black, we don't respect your black erasure just because they aren't as dark as you deem "real black" people to be.

I thought they intended Dorian to look south-east Asian, like his voice actor, Ramon Tikaram. I seem to recall Gaider or someone making a statement to that effect.
Not that author intent remotely matters to me, but there ARE skin tones besides "white" and "black".

Speaking of race, why not make the gay KISA black? It's pretty dumb that only fair-skinned characters seem to get that trope. Totally not saying this because I just don't want a carbon copy of Cullen or Alistair

I have no preference on the skin color of the gay KISA because I would already be very happy if there is even one! Though if he can transform into werewolf then that's a bonus point.

We definitely need more black male characters as companions, Delrin was just a WASTE AND I'M STILL SALTY aaaaaaand east-asian characters, where the fuck are they in DA? Wonder if they are going for real people to scan their faces like in MEA for DA4, I know for sure that Liam is the cutest human alive in ME universe (sorry Kaidan t-t) lol I have no preference on the skin color of the gay KISA because I would already be very happy if there is even one! Though if he can transform into werewolf then that's a bonus point. KIFA PERFECTION sorry but werewolf worshipping is never going to end
